Hi guys, Im setting up my first list with Aweber, and Im testing it by sending myself broadcasts etc etc, As I work from home and have no business address so my personal address appears in the footer of the email/broadcast. Is there a way I can hide this?

Regards

I believe the can-spam laws require an address, one solution is to get a PO box , just one of the costs of doing business

Got a friend with a PO Box? Ask to use his, you probably will never need it, although it is a very useful think to have. Even better is a proper business mailing address.

Only away around this is using a PO Box. I guess you could use a fake address, but I wouldn't recommend that.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I also recommend getting a PO Box. You will find it comes in very handy the further you get into IM. 100 pounds per year? That IS expensive. Over here in Australia I think they are like $50 or so - I can't remember the exact amount I paid. But I do know they are priced on location over here. So, just like real estate, you will pay more money for a PO Box in a highly populated and expensive area.

You might want to check that out in the UK. You might be able to find them cheaper if you drive a little further out of town.

Failing that you could ask around and see if any of your family or friends already have a PO Box you could use. After all, you are not planning on getting anything sent there, you just want the address to use.

That's when you start to appreciate the (Canadian) country living... where the Crown corporation (=post) dominated by the unions don't provide full service: there is no mailman so everybody has a PO Box and you go to pick up your mail from there.

To get a mail from you I don't have to give you my street address, just the Box, village, postal code. So, the laziness of the Canadian letter carriers solved this issue for me
