I was hoping I can get a little advice on the most cost effective way to send my newsletters to 50,000+ subscribers.

Who offers the best prices?

Edit: This would be for online email marketing.

I can't tell if you are talking about a printed snail mail or an email newsletter, here's an auto-responder review with a price comparison chart. The subscriber loss involved in transferring a mail list to a different auto-responder probably wouldn't justify the distribution cost savings.

You need to specify online or offline. I am assuming online. There are many services you can choose from and you will need to way up a few things.

      1. The cost of the service
      2. Whether or not the subscribers you import will need to re-confirm to be on your list
      3. The deliverability rate

This is not entirely true as the subscribers he loses would probably be those who are not very interested in the newsletter anyway and the number of unsubscribes would be offset by the increase in deliverability rate. A service such as Aweber has a much better reputation with all the ISPs than if you were sending those same emails off your own server - generally speaking.
