Where Do I Start In Writing?

Hi,

I want to make extra money online, maybe about the $1000 mark with commitment providing writing services with desired keywords etc. But... where do I start? I was going to go for fiverr but I've read some horror stories around hear about people giving bad reviews for no reason and such. Thanks

    If you want to make $1k a month, Fiverr is definitely not the place to start. You can ply your trade down here and I am sure you will find a few warriors who could use your services.

    How good are you at writing - do you follow the EPL? If yes, drop me an email. I might have a client I can hook you up with as I know he wants EPL coverage...

    PS: Since VSKY is from the UK - I did not explain EPL but for others it's the English Premier League - Soccer.

    I agree, this forum is a better place to post your services. You could also create a Hub Page/Squidoo lens about the best practices for article writing. At the end you could link to a page offering article writing services.

      That's a good idea. It might be a little hard to rank for keywords such as article writing and writing services though.

        Buy a domain and put up a website. A simple blog will be fine.

        On that site you need to set up a short explanation of the services you offer on the main page.

        Other pages should have some article samples so the buyer knows what to expect. You need to make these awesome to help your chances at getting clients. You also need to make sure that you can keep up that quality when you do the work.

        You can set up a contact form if you want, like with the contact form 7 plugin, or simply put your email address up on the main page. I prefer the contact form as it can eliminate spam if done right. Make sure you throw a captcha plugin as well. I use Really Simple CAPTCHA for my sites.

        Once you get that up put a link to your page in your signature and get involved in the conversation.

        There are more ways you can promote your site, but this should give you a good start.

          Agree. You can earn $1000 in a month through freelancing sites but it will be so difficult for you unless you are a graphic designer or site developer. If you are certain that you want to render services instead of putting up your own site then its better to look for the job within warrior forum

    You can write a set of articles in any niche you already have experience or knowledge and sell it in a WSO as PLR package, just remember to publish how many packages you will sell and keep you word.

    Also it's important to include the using rights to the package.

    Put an advert in here in the Warriors for Hire section.

    Most people will want samples first before placing a big order but if you're good enough some people will order packages of 50 or more articles. 2 or 3 of those a month and you'll reach your target.

    Be warned though, the joy of getting an order for 100s of articles soon wanes by about the 3rd or 4th review of some electrical item from Amazon!

    This statement scares the hell out of me..

    Nothing to do with Fiverr at all, but the fact you are willing to let the POTENTIAL of someone giving you a bad review stop you from starting.

    I hate to break the news to you, but you MIGHT receive a bad review anywhere for no reason at all. You MIGHT get tricked and not be paid for an order.

    Of course, you MIGHT start earning money, if you don't let all those other little, tiny, itty bitty, nothing to be worried about, fears stop you.

    Throw your hat in the ring, choose to start somewhere, and just do it. Let the crap hit the fan if it does, and move on...

    I'll guarantee one thing right now...If you TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW, you will make more money by this time next week than you will if you worry about what MIGHT happen.

    Fiverr can be used at times, however, with that goal, I wouldn't recommend fiverr.
