You are going to hear from experienced people tell you that you need to set realistic goals if you have never made that kind of money before.

What I will ask you is are you ready for sleepless nights, the ridicule of family/friends, non-existent social life and plain old sacrifice? Have you told your friends that you are dedicated to doing what it takes and that they are going to take a back seat to internet marketing for a while? Are you willing to take your extra money to buy domain names and hosting?

I am not sure what you will make or what your goals are, but if you are going to put all of those zeros on there, you had better be willing to pay the price.

None of these guys get there without sacrifice.

Now that's cool... the worst piece of advice ever sold around. Charlie buddy if you think being successful in IM takes all your friends and social interaction away, then picture this... I spent all my last week interacting with my cousins, and made a serious sum of cash at the same time... Much more than most of those who spend 26 hours a day and over make in a month or two.

I didn't make millions, but it would not have been a far fetched dream if I had that goal.. I just don't have that goal yet. But does that mean I won't have it in 2010? No way!

And how long do you think will it take me to train an intelligent learner... everything I know about IM... I think a day... Maybe two. No more than that.

Of course copywriting and testing are different, but then those are skills and practise and not knowledge.

@ OP: Go budddy go... Aim for the stars... And then go get them, no one can and should stop you...

When people come on a forum and make those kind of statements what they fail to realize is that often the words just come out as "I've got my head stuck so far up my ass that I can see the inside of my tits."

I'm not trying to be harsh here, I'm just trying to wake you up. The last thing you need to hear at this point is someone telling you "That's great! Go for it." You need to get your head grounded if you ever want to make real money online.

You need to create a system that will consistantly make money. Then once you have a system that makes money, you scale it. You outsource the work, you build a team, you become a manager and a leader.

Now how about this for an idea..."I will make $1,000 in the next thirty days, and then I will double my sales every month until I make a comfortable living and have grown my business to the point where I am financially independent."

Even I would believe a newbie could do that, and I'm about as sceptical as they come.

The idea that saying something makes it happen is false. It leads to thinking about money instead of how to best build your business model.

There are very FEW "noobs" who make $1000 in their first month but most seem to focus on what they will get instead of what they have to offer that will get them started. There are others who do anything they can to get that first $1000 and then realize they can't do it again without starting over because they were only chasing money.

Stop dreaming of millions in the future and get to work to see what you are capable of doing.

You need to create a system that will consistantly make money. Then once you have a system that makes money, you scale it. You outsource the work, you build a team, you become a manager and a leader.

Now that's some good advice.

Kay's right here. Focusing on what you want to earn just ensures you concentrate on the money.

Make sure this doesn't get a hold of you! Now you've got your goals outlined, ensure you have a solid business plan to follow. Treat your online business in the same way you would an offline business.

A good solid plan is a stepping stone to good solid business. Put in the time and effort that is needed (and then do a bit more) and you'll be able to make money from this game!

Fail to plan - Plan to fail!!!

Now get to work and earn those millions! If you honestly believe you can do it then go out there and don't let anything stop you!!!

I am a n00b so please be patient with me. I will need a little bit of help to get off the ground. I'm probably gonna be asking a ton of question at first as I make a few thousands but after that, I want to help out others too.

Before Dec 31, 2010, I should be making a substantial income online so I promise to give back to this community that helped me achieve my goals.

I have found it to be more helpful if you have a goal that is something other than a dollar amount. For example, why do you want $20+ million a year? What will you do when you achieve it? Is it money just for money's sake? Is it the level of success you will feel? Is it the financial independence? Is it what you want to buy? The most specific your goal the better.

Here's what's worked for me.

HAVE FUN FIRST.

If I'm not having fun, it doesn't matter how many goals I set, I procrastinate. It's a creativity thing: everyone is more creative when they're having fun.

When I'm coaching writers, the first thing I ask them to do is to make a list of FUN stuff (forget money for now, because you can make money in many, many, ways), and choose one fun thing to write.

So, wait until you find a strategy/ product to promote/ idea that gives you a little inner tingle and seems like fun to do.

Then just do it.

Once you've started (and are having fun) you can set goals. You'll achieve them.

The hardest money you'll ever make in IM is doing stuff which isn't fun. So -- fun first, and then get serious. :-)

Hi there anonymous....

I understand your reasoning behind making a public affirmation - it sort of sets in stone what you intend to do - well done for that!

However - the part where it falls down is that your keeping your identity hidden - thats ok too - no one can force you to reveal your identity.

But thats where the flaw in your process is - making a public statement is to force you into some sort of accountability to those whom you have made your affirmation. At this point you have chosen to hide your identity, and as I see it that negates your statement, because no one can hold an anonymous person to be accountable to their affirmation.

Thats how I see it anyhow......

Good luck -you appear to have good intentions - I hope you succeed.

its usually just as simple as asking look in the wso section i think some people are offering it there.

But some mentors are expensive but from what i have heard it is worth it.
