The shortest sales letter ever you had bought a product from?

Have you buy any product online?
Sure you are.

Most of the time, it's either a 5000+ words or 15+ minutes of video that presell the product.

But, I just wondering, if, any of you had bought any product that had shorter sales letter?

Perhaps, a few sentences and a buy button.

Or, a short video, less than 1 or 2 minutes perhaps, and a buy button?

Have you come across that kind of sales letter?
Have you make that purchase?

Let share the website here, perhaps we can learn what make the success...

Well, online is different. Back in the day, I've bought "money making" products directly from newspaper classified ads that were one or two sentences in total.

I don't even read long sales letters. I just skim through until I see what's relevant to me and my needs, and then make a buying decision based on that. So that being said, I much prefer shorter sales letters, because they get right to the point!

      • I was just reading about this on Michel Fortin's site

The letter he is talking about looks like it has changed from when he first described it. It's still kind of interesting because it starts with a mini letter and clicks through to a longer one.

Marketing is not a battle of products. It is a battle of perceptions.

I don't think I've ever bought something from an actual sales letter.

I've bought a couple of IM related pieces of software.. but I bought them based on forum comments. Sure, I ended up at a salesletter before I bought them.. but I didn't even read it before I purchased. I'd been pre-sold by real reviews.

I have read many sales letters that I've stumbled upon, but I don't think I've ever bought anything from them.

What leads me to buy is unbiased reviews. Whether it be music, a book, or a piece of software, that's what makes me buy. Sometimes I run into an obviously biased review and it just turns me off.

Not so long ago I read the book "4 hour body" by Tim Ferris. In it he mentioned a product called "Nightwave", which is a sleeping aid device. The book pre-sold me. I have trouble sleeping.. here's a magic device.. I want that. Then I did a Google search for reviews. EVERY review I came across seemed biased. I couldn't find a review that I felt was real (It turned out the Amazon reviews were also on affiliate sites). So.. I didn't buy it. I also could not find any forum posts about it. Internet forums are probably the source I trust the most, since they're so controversial.

So yeah.. maybe I'm weird.. but sales letters just don't do it for me. I think if I was looking for a particular service and it had a great sales letter it might. Maybe. But for me it's always the reviews reviews reviews. And I'm savvy. They better be (seemingly) genuine.
