Keep reading this forum. There are nothing but mentors here. All day long...

You will find volunteers to mentor you, but not for free. I would keep reading this forum. You may want to join the War Room, there is real good advice there. You pay one time and you will get a couple of business models.

Also, Dennis Becker's Earn One K a Day is a good way to get mentorship on the cheap.

Amy Bass has a good blogging course that my wife is in that gave her a good intro to internet marketing.

I have a free Article Marketing newsletter that you can sign up for if you PM me.

There is some guy named Nick Brighton who has some very good advice for newbies starting out in Internet Marketing. It has something to do with his 1000th post. Read that. Also, do something that I don't do. Read through all of the stickys. There is normally good getting started information there. (In general, there is always good information in the stickys of reputable IM forums...I would suggest you read them).

What have you done so far online?

What are you passionate about?

What are your strengths?

There are 2 questions I tell my clients to ask themselves before they get started in this whole Internet Marketing thing...

1. How BIG is your idea? Can you make 6 figures per month & More?

2. How fast can you implement it?

If those 2 questions can't be answered I don't even move forward because they are TOO many Ways to make money online!

I just want to earn a decent amount of earnings online. I am not that in a hurry to earn but doing this in a wrong way i very annoying to me. I guess that's the nature of learning process.

Hey Diana-

One of the things I see you are doing wrong is by trying to be too many things to too many people at once.

For instance, the site in your sig is anchored with a weight loss keyword, yet clicking through takes me to a review for a flat screen tv and a bunch of cell phones. Not exactly targeted.

You are going to have to define your marketing focus a bit closer, I think. I would start by setting up domains that more closely match what you're selling, and don't try to lump everything under one generic review site like you've got now.

Won't work too well at all. If you have any questions, please feel free to use the service in my sig. It's open to all while we test it, and early beta users will continue to get it gratis even if we launch it later as a subscription.

  Just take it nice and slow and learn to do at least one thing really well. Even if it is only something small like setting up a site or writing exceptional content. Once you get one skill into place move onto the next one.
  
  There are several posts here on the forum that lay out dead easy plans to earnings. Search around a little bit and try to follow them as closely as possible and then ask specific questions when you have them

I'm new on this forum too, although I'm on Internet Marketing since 2004 (but in spanish market).

I agree with all advices you've received here. They are great.

I think the most big mistake I did when I was started up was, without any doubt, to lost the FOCUS.

There are too many business models, oportunities and ideas on Internet Marketing.

Learn the Art of to DISCARD.

Have your choise. Create your PLAN. And DO IT!
(I think 90% of who fails on Internet Marketing is because... they NEVER DO ANYTHING!)

Don't only to learn new ideas; Do Something!

Notice when you've readed o heard enough. And stop reading, buying and hearding and DO!

I wish this to be useful for you.

(And would be an honour for me to be your mentor, if you can endure my so bad english...)

  Yes some one can mentor you, but that takes a lot of time and energy on their part, and what is in it for them? Are you going to pay them?
  
  You've had some great advice here already and really I can only recommend finding some great posts here on the forum and bookmarking them. Maybe even copying them and putting them on your comp some where in a file. But DON'T just do that. Remember to take focussed action on what you learn as well.

Now, make a note of what is bugging, annoying, frustrating, enraging, causing great mental anguish to all Warriors who have join dates of 2007-2008.

Do the exact same thing that has them in a fury (unless you see thank you notes from S.W. Admin, Bev, or J Mo and several other members in their thread) and you will have a head start in this wonderful world of Internet Marketing.

Actually Diana your very smart indeed to take up advice to getting a mentor.

That will put you one step ahead and get you to where you want to go extremmely fast by taking the "short cut" to your success.

There's only so much that e-books and home study courses can teach you and when it's all said and done you would have spent much, much more time and money on information consumption than you would have by getting one-on-one with a mentor or coach.

People just don't realize how much time they really spend searching aimlessy everyday online looking for their answers and following offer after offer in their inbox, as well as throwing money senslessly at product consumption, when they could have easily got with an expert from the start to show them what they need to do to be successful with Internet marketing.
