Default Created some Trial Videos ... need your Feedback

Hi,

I have been working with Flash for sometime. With the growing demand for custom videos I just tried to create a few trial videos. I would like to know your feedback on these videos before I start to offer it as a regular service to my clients. I may even offer a WSO on it soon.

Click Here to check the vids.

I would like to hear what you look for in a professional promo video and What you hate.

Regards,

Stephen

Technically, these are good. Are you using Macromedia Flash itself, or another flash utility to create them? I do a good bit of this stuff myself so maybe we cans swap some notes. PM me if you want to chat.

From an effectivness standpoing, my opinion is that they are a bit too busy. Although all that movement of text looks cool, I'm not convinced it is effective. Sometimes less is more. If it were me, I'd go with more text fades and fewer of the motion transitions. Also, the background images are sharp and attractive, but I found myself not knowing whether to read the text or look at the pictures.

Regardless, keep it up. You're off to a good start. - Russ

I am not as experienced, maybe as write stuff.

They are HOT and effective.

They will arrest the attention of site visitors.

They are not designed to inform, I guess...yes?

Thanks Charles!

Russ - you made some good inference. I know the text effects make it look a bit busy perhaps, but it would vary from person to person. I have created video for a few clients earlier where I used only the Fade-In Fade-Out effect. Also since these are trial vids I had no specific guideline to follow. I'll send u a PM.

I would like to get more comments from you all!

Your audio is peaking out and distorting. You need to lower your levels.

Personally I think the videos lack personality... but that does not necessarily mean they are not effective.

My 2c worth - and I know nothing about making videos or films. I felt the quality of the text looked "amateur" in comparison with the video backgrounds.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the feedback.
Can you be more specific so that I can rectify it.
Also how do i keep a tab on the audio quality?

Rosetrees - since these are just trial videos I used lot of fancy fonts, colors and effects. You are right with your observation.

Hi Stephen,

I was having trouble reading the text over the images, what kind of price are you looking at selling these vids. Not sure if you could ever class these types as professional, but if your just starting out, keep practising and you will only get better

Cheers
Darren

Hi Stephen,

I think you'd do well selling at a similar price to Venkatas WSO, I'd expect $147-$197 might be ok for these?

What were you thinking?

Hi Darren,

I think that can be the price for a basic video but for more detailed ones that price is bit less. Actually the quality of the video will vary depending on the custom background image, player skin, effects and audio. The duration of the video is also an important factor in deciding the price. What do you think?

I would like to hear more comments from the warriors please.
