If you have an information product in the seduction niche selling for $150 and selling one a month...would it be wiser to reduce the price to $47 for a month and see what happens?

If your only selling one a month, then it might be wise to try to reduce the price a bit. I would aim for something like $49 a month, a special sales of sorts.

Even wiser would be to test the two different prices at the same time and see which one converts better. The only people who can tell you the right answer are those who buy or don't buy your product.

I'm a little concerned as to the difference in the two prices you want to test. If you don't know whether you should be selling your product around the $150 mark or the $47 mark it says to me that you have not done enough research into your market.

You should know what other products are already out there, which ones are selling the best and the cost of those products. Only then can you choose some good prices to start testing for your own product.

Do your research and then get testing.

I think yes that you should reduce it but you have got to hope for more than 3 sales to equal 1 $150 sale.

If you are willing to drop your price from $150 to $47... Then obviously, your product is more likely worth around the $47 mark. Thus saying your $150 pricetag is a extreme overkill and a ripoff. Even to yourself, you're saying that $150 is unreasonable and even you wouldn't pay that price but more around $47.

    Split-test?

What is your conversion rate? If you are getting one sale a month on a 20-30 visits per day that is much different than getting one sale on hundreds or thousands of visits each day.

I would certainly test different price points - or alter your offer to give more value for the $150 - bundle something else to make up the difference.

You may want to split test landing/sales pages instead of changing the price. Tweaking your offer could provide insight to the sales resistance you're encountering. If that works, then test prices on the best converting sales page.

To me it seems a big difference, my opinion is to try to something around $ 100 and you try to do tests help you reach the correct number

Google something called 'Elasticity of demand' You need to work out the best price through changing the level of your price and noting the corresponding demand over a period of time.
