Brainstorm Today - Find Your Online Gold

You don't know this but I am a firm believer that the internet is way more then the usual stuff we read everyday in all the IM forums worldwide. I truly believe (and can back it up) that weird ideas and out of the box thinking can differentiate us from all the crowd doing Adsense sites and/or affiliate sites.

This is a major fight I have with my brother in law (a WF user btw...) cause he simply spends his time doing what he loves but never creating something useful for a targeted audience, thus making him money OR serving him as a "business card" he can show to potential buyers/partners.

Today I was checking Smashing Magazine and saw a interesting article that some of us should read - especially if you're struggling to find something different to make money online.

Here's a quote from the article:

    This is something I have been thinking quite a bit about lately.

    I think most of us are only scratching the surface, but the internet is a tool that offers so much more. Some people will argue that the internet is ruining our lives, but I see it as potentially changing huaminty for the better - talk about "out of the box" thinking!

      We all need to understand there is this major crossing between the internet users and the outside world, probably it's a one time mix, since the web is getting "mature" and the older generations are finally kicking in in all areas - not only in social networks or email use.

      These folks search for stuff we don't even realize, cause we're so focused on what's "usual".

      Right now billions of web users older then 45 years old, are searching for INSERT KEYWORD HERE and we're missing many opportunities, cause we simply don't understand this "new" wave of web users.

      Some years ago it was "cool" for youngsters to have a email ID, a social network ID or a personal blog... Right now, for older people it's "cool" to buy stuff online, to use the web on a daily basis, and to get together with other elders... or people with similar tastes.

      Think about it. It's a brave new world.
