Hello all.
I am looking for some experienced feedback from those who
have had great success setting up one time offers.

As I can tell, Click Bank seems to be a good place to run my account through.
Although, they are high and very strict. (But I do need to have an affiliate program)
Not sure if there are any free standing affiliate software available for me to use
without a steep learning curve. (I've heard that amember has one but how easy is it to use?... (Can I have a free standing affiliate program where the payment processor
will automatically do all of the financial work, besides click bank?

I like Pay Pal myself.

This will be my first one time offer.
In your opinion, is it better to have the buyer go through the payment process first
before being redirected to the upgrade offer? or not.

I could also set the buy link on the first page to redirect the buyer to the upgrade
offer page.

I would like to hear some of your opinions...

Thanks for any feedback.

I would have thought that it's best to direct them to the OTO first, but I'm interested to see the replies on this.

On one hand they could cancel their order because of the new offer, on the other hand they don't want to get their credit cards out again. However I'm sure more often than not I've seen it before the final order

    Hi,

Rapid Action Profits Software will let you do PayPal, has a built in affiliate program and one time offers.

One time offer is for after purchase and before download.

    Thanks,

    John

I think RAP is really a good software especially for newbies like me. It will surely help people who are starting from scratch.

RAP seems great. Too bad a real newbie will not have enough to buy it. ;(

I use 1ShoppingCart and I am very happy with it. It does it all. You will have to pay the affiliates yourself either through PayPal or with checks, but 1shoppingcart does all the bookkeeping and tracking.

Here's my questions though regarding your OTO. Do you have a script in place to make it a true OTO? In other words, for an offer to be a true OTO, you need to be able to block access to the page once the visitor leaves. If they can get back to the url anytime they want, it's not really a OTO.

As for where to put it, if you place it after the check out it won't be as successful because people won't want to go through the payment process again. One way to do it is to manually enter the upgrade payment for them into your payment processor, but you need to have that capability plus you need to have some kind of verification process in place to protect you from them claiming you processed a payment without authorization.

If you place the OTO prior to check out, you run the risk of distracting them from buying your original product or paralyzing them with indecision.

I would say of the two, making the offer after the initial check out is the safe way to go because at least you won't be jeopardizing your original sale.

As a side note, you may also want to experiment with pitching the upgrade product first and offering the lower product as a downsell. You can direct them to the downsell page if they abandon your site. Just a thought

Placing the one time offer AFTER the checkout process with one click capability (so the customer does not have to enter a new order form) is definitely the best way to go with one time offers.

If you place your one time offer before the customer checks out, you run a high risk of that customer abandoning the core purchase entirely.

Also, having the one click "Add to order" capability after the checkout as opposed to having the customer fill out an additional order form will increase conversions by 40% alone.

    Hope This Helps!
