Developing A Site For Users

Hi.

I have no problems creating websites and getting traffic but unfortunately for most of sites the bounce rate is high. These sites are authority type Adsense sites. I guess with high bounce rate, it means the sites are built for search engines rather then uses. Can someone tell me how I build a site for users and what factors need to be considered.

    You need good high quality and engaging content. If you want visitors to stay then you need to give them a reason to do so. You want to also make it easy for visitors to find other related content on your site. If using a wordpress blog then using a related posts plugin that goes at the end of each article is a good way to keep people on your blog for longer.

    Hi mailey,

    High bounce rate means that most of your visitors spend less time on your website and eventually leave the website.

    One way to engage the visitors is by embedding related video (above the fold) on your pages. In this way, the bounce rate will be better (smaller).
