So i was wondering what exactly it takes to get a question answered on the warrior forum. I am new to internet marketing in that i havent applied any of the things i have learned. Which is extremely disappointing to me especially. So i've decided to do something about it and could really use the support this forum offers, but i guess its important to know how to approach getting my questions answered or just even looked at. Any input on that one? I am taking on a new project for a friend who has started a new site and im working on starting a blog on tips for dating and attraction of the opposite sex (which i find extremely interesting) for myself. This is me taking action.. FINALLY!.. I started another thread to try and get some info on what kind of keywords i should target in trying to promote my friends site but honestly i think i may or may have not worded the question i had appropriately. Im not really looking for specific keywords which is kind of what i requested (KW research is just a part of the process that i will figure out, i made it seem as if i was not willing to do that.. sorry), but i guess what im really after is some ideas on how i could market this kind of site. Its a networking site for local nyc actors, directors, and writers. I figured what i could do was submit it to social bookmarking sites, become active in forums and communities where actors, writers, and directors hang out (genuinely active.. not spam), with a link to the site in my signature of course, and of course do some basic seo for site. I was also going to email the sites that are similar to our site and see if we can trade links, submit press releases, and i was also probably gonna start a blog on the site where i can post videos and articles that are helpful to these kind of people (like how to pick lighting for films, how to find the right actors, etc.) and submit useful info to article directories which would point back to our main site. So this site could become extremely useful to actors, writers, and directors in our local area to network and get some great tips and info in the process. My friends are film and communications majors so they have a wealth of helpful knowledge and they have a real desire to actually make this site useful. They are genuine in their approach and are trying to deliver true value to this community. If i can get any input on some ideas i would definitely appreciate it. I know it essentially it does come down to me to figure out how to make this site a success, and im confident i can do it. Im just looking for some direction from the knowledgeable members on this forum. Thanks, MakeCash P.S. Im also taking advantage of the stupidly simple cash cow thread, its a great business model that im going to follow. Ive gotten a ton of ideas from the thread that i will be sure to implement. I was supposed to make cold calls on friday after work but something came up so im doing that on monday for sure. Unless the world comes to and abrupt end, which isnt likely. i hope! p.p.s if anyone wants a look at the site just shoot me a pm so i could give you the link, i would like some input on what you guys think of the design. Which by the way, one of my friends is into web design and she designed it, but she doesnt know anything about IM. Im probably gonna outsource the web design to her when i get some clients using david preston's stupidly simple cash cow method. |

Well...Just a tip: Put some info in your profile so I know who I'm talking to. I have a hard time taking anyone called "makecash" seriously without any other info, and I know I'm not alone there. Also, when you post, try to do it in paragraphs of 2-3 sentences so we can digest your post easier. Huge run-on paragraphs make my eyes hurt ![]() Your idea sounds like a great one, and may yield terrific results if you go about it correctly. If you have any specific questions, I can probably help (see sig) ![]() Go Get 'em! |

Your question in your first thread wasn't answered because it would take a book! Your question was "how to market" - and this is a marketing forum that is all about "how to market". Use the search function here and look up keyword research, niche research, and other topics and start reading. I use SEObook.com (free) for keyword research - and if you use it and check all the info given there you'll get a good idea of what keywords to use for your project. Other than that - what you have already planned to do (paragraphs are a good thing, by the way) is a good start. kay |

Hey man, When doing your Keyword research, try whatever Keyword/s you come up with and ADD "New York City", "NY, NY", etc... You will find it much easier to rank in the search engines that way because it is much more specific (less compitition) and when your target audience is searching, they will more than likely be looking for something/someone local. You did say this involved dating, right? Just a thought. |

"I can" is much more important than I.Q.
