OK, I'm Sure this is a Simple Question, but I'M LOST!

OK, so I'm not a tech guy. I've gone through the search function on the WF and couldn't find my answer, there.

I just purchased web hosting. I have about 30 domains registered at Godaddy. I went to redirect them to my new hosting service (Black Wire Hosting). They gave me the info to change the name servers. I did this on 3 domains, to start. They resolved several days ago, but I can only access the main domain I registered the hosting account with. The other 2 send me to a google page, asking if I meant to type in some other domain name.

How am I messing this up? How do I access these other domains in my CPanel?

Are there more than than just the "NS1, NS2" that Black Wire supplied me? I asked Godaddy and was told, (rather rudely, actually), "No!", that ns1 & ns2 will work for all my domain redirects...But Godaddy has all different ones for each of my parked domains with them (ie. ns26, ns27, etc...).

I know that this is probably a simple mistake I'm making, but I am really confused. I'm ready to make a couple new websites, and am at a stand-still. I read Black Wire Hosting's 190 page instruction book and found no help there, either.

I changed the "Name Servers". Was I supposed to something with "Forwarding"?

Can somebody help a fellow Warrior out?

If I did miss a thread in the search feature, maybe someone can direct me there...

It's probably a simple question (with a simple answer), but I'd bet there are others who would like to know the answer to this, too.

Thanks,

Adam

First check the spelling for the web site and the nameservers.

next, ping the web site, to ping the site open a command prompt, that's the black box that opens and has the blinking courser which looks like an under score _ you will type: ping 440music.com replace 440music.com with your web site name. You will get a read back that tells you the ip address that you site resolves to. Next type: tracert 440music.com again replace with your web address and this will tell you the path to your web site. If you see your hosting company address in the final result then it's at there end that you are having problems. If you see godaddy in the final results then go to godaddy for help.

If you post the URL/web addresses you are having problems with I can run other programs to help you find the answer.

Adam- here's what you need to do...

Log into your GoDaddy Domain Manager panel and click on the Nameservers tab...

Then, select ALL your domains, and change the ns1/ns2 to:
    NS1.WHATEVER-YOUR-MAIN-DOMAIN-NAME-IS.com
    NS2.WHATEVER-YOUR-MAIN-DOMAIN-NAME-IS.com

Click ok, and wait bit for them all to resolve.

I'm not familiar with Black wire cpanel, but usually you have to add the additional domains as an addon domain. Just go to black wire cpanel click addon domain then follow the instructions there...you will have to prove ownership by changing the name servers at go daddy to whatever black wire uses...shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.

      hope this helps...jimmymc

Im thinking he didnt make the addon domains at hostgator first? Did you adam? Go into your cpanel and click on addon domains then addon the domain that you want to add. Then go and update those nameservers. They will ALL be the same.

      Ahhh- you're probably right, Jake-

Adam, you have to set up hosting for each individual domain on your server in addition to changing the NS per my last posts.
