Hi guys, I have automated softwares, and I have to let it run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and I don't want to let my PC burnt for letting it turned on forever.

What should I do instead of letting my PC turn on forever? is there some solutions?

Get a 2nd, weaker PC for the automated stuff. Only power on your PC when you need it.

Actually, I've always let my PCs run 24/7. It's always better to let your hard drives run then stop and go all the time. Now, I'm sure they have made hard drives much better from initially using this method. But sometimes old habits are hard to stop.

Are you running a dedicated server out of your house?!?!

If you are, I'd get that stuff off there and onto a webhost asap. That is a real good way to get your broadband account terminated...you don't want to end up on dialup, do you?

It depends on ISP I'm running a server myself, and I don't have any problems

Well yeah, if you buy the premium business package...the home stuff it's verbotten on. I've seen people get their clocks cleaned for doing that.

Why you don't use virtual private server (VPS)?

You can rent a VPS with windows OS, and you won't have any problems running software day and night

I recommend you use a VSP. It's a good alternative to keep your PC running for days.
