The Customer You Love to Hate

You? You're trying to sell stuff? You're joking, right?

You're just a guy. And you sell stuff? Hmm, OK that's kinda weird.

You don't even have a company, do you? Well, at least not a big one, like the kind I buy from. You know Amazon, Barnes and Noble.

I'm just not comfortable buying stuff from people like you. I don't know, I just don't like it. It's weird.

It's like your me. Just a person. But you sell stuff. I know you have experience and qualifications. You know what you're talking about but...I don't know. Something isn't right. I really can't put my finger on it.

I mean, who do you think you are? Selling stuff. Mr. Big Shot over here! Like any one's going to buy from you. You've really got some balls. Gimme a break.

I'm not going to read or listen to your sales pitch. Dude, come on stop. Ugh, I'm out of here.

By the way, don't you feel weird selling stuff. Pushing products and services on people? God, I hate that. When people are selling to me. It's annoying. Come to think of it. You're kind of annoying. People shouldn't push products on other people.

I mean, you're not being pushy, at all. But still. You? Selling something? To me?

Don't you have any shame? I don't get it. Don't you hate getting 'sold to'? And don't you hate selling? It doesn't look like it. I think you like it. You're acting like a money loving greed machine. A company. Yuck!

You know, companies don't really care about people, they just want to sell stuff. Kind of like you. You sell out. You must not care about people. You just want to sell stuff. Gross. What kind of person are you?

I thought you were cool. I thought you were like one of us.

Look, people like us don't sell stuff. We help each other out. You scratch my back I scratch your back. But man, don't ask me to buy something. Don't ask me to pay for something.

I thought you were cool. Now you're all weird. Trying to sell me stuff. I like you're stuff. I want more. But I'm not going to buy anything. I can get anything I want for free, online.

If you want to make something, that's cool. You should just do it as a hobby. Just give it away, I bet a ton of people would love it.

Hell, you might even get famous. I took a look at your free stuff. It's really freakin' good, actually. I bet your paid stuff is incredible.

I bet a company would love to get their hands on it. Hey, you could make a pretty penny.

I mean hell, I'd buy it.
