Looking for a thread: how to add an opt-in below every blog post

A while back I was reading a thread on here that showed me how to put an autoresponder sign up at the end of each of my posts. Unfortunately I thought I subscribed to it but I guess I did not. Now I am looking for it to implement it on my blog, but I cant for the life of me find that thread again. I tried searching for it but it doesn't come up.
Can someone help me?

There are a few ways to accomplish that task.

You can enter the opt-in code straight into your theme's code.

Or, you can use a plugin, like "Add Post Footer" and set it up accordingly.

I would use suggest using the plugin. If you do edit your themes code to add the opt-in just be aware that if you ever update your theme, you will overwrite it and have to manually add it again.

Not really a big problem if you just have a few blogs and are comfortable editing the themes yourself.

That's a good idea. Does anyone have any first hand experience doing this that suggests an increase in optins?

Yes it will increase your opti-in because marketing is still 1% conversion out of 100 views, so if you have your opti-in box under every video you will increase your opti-in. The quality of your opti-in is really the question you will have to answer and your Opti-in Funnel or opti-in Process to your conversions?

I am looking for more of a low profile opt-in link, every one that I've tried (listwire, getresponse, maxblog) is way to big and clunky. I just want a sentence, and next to it an email field at the bottom of each post, perhaps with some sort of place to put an image. If you dont want a big bulky optin form, why not just hop over to fiverr, get
someone to design you a nice optin graphic, then simply pull the image into
aweber (if you use that) and use email only when you design the form.

If you don't want to do that method, then there are many good free plugins out there
for your blog, ddaddsig is a good one and not too obtrusive, but you do have to add your autoresponder code in the settings.

        Thanks sally,
But I already tried ddagddsig but with my listwire opt-in form its just too intrusive. I guess I will have to figure out how to design my own opt-in thing to put into ddagddsig.

    Use plugins.
If not, find a script online or here.

Thats what i am trying to do, but to no avail. I am not sure how to actually build a custom footer, my HTML is rusty, I can edit but not write.

Had you used the forum search function with "opt-in signature post" you would have found it vs. opening a new thread.
