Hey everyone,

So i was just reading an email from Ezine sometimes they have decent information. I'm going to copy and past the email here, but i was wondering if its true or not.

"Early on, say 10 years ago, a dozen or two dozen articles in your niche could make a big difference in the traffic you'd get back to your website or blog. Submitting those articles was enough to put you in the company of some of the top authors in most niches, and your articles were likely to appear high in search engine results because there were a lot less websites back then."

"In 2011, you need more like 200-500 articles to begin to get that same return you used to be able to get with a couple dozen articles."

Would you disagree or agree?

I personally have never used articles for that purpose. I target a long tail keyword with my article in order to rank the article which is a soft sales pages. Sure the link juice helps but its not the point of my article, if I was just going for backlink power then blog comments, forums profiles, etc are WAY easier and less time consuming.

I don't care if I'm a featured author or anything. Its all about keyword research, picking a long tail with limited competition that you can easily rank your article in Google for.

      Hi,

I think it can be true. There so many web sites today. Maybe, it really depends on your niche. Some niche you need less articles than some.

Hmm... I'm just trying to figure some things out. I would really like to go down the BUM marketing route... I just am having trouble creating an action plan.
