How to Make My First Clickbank Affiliate Sale

Hello Warrior Members

I am worried I have not made any clickbank products sale as an affiliate.

I have a free report of my own to promote one or two products there.

Unfortunately, I have no CASH NOW to pay for autoresponder to start building my list.

How can I go around the autoresponder stuff for 1 month, promote products and make sale. I hope to make sale before subscribing to autoresponder since I am short of fund?

Is there any hope for me at all of making sale without a list/autoresponder?

Thank you for your prompt response.

Hi, what have you been doing to try and make your first affiliate sale?

Have you researched your niche and studied how other marketers are positioning themselves in that niche?

Do you have your own website/domain name or are you using a free platform like Squidoo or Blogger?

Have you gone for free traffic?

It really is just a matter of getting things done in the right order and with the right emphasis to make that first sale.

    Yes, you can.

I taught to one of my friends who didn't have any money how to make money with clickbank and a simple blogger blog.

    You can read it here:

    All the best,

I have no sales as yet either for my new product but will be promoting it soon. I suggest you have a look around the Warrior site. There are several members that have large lists and you could ask them to send their members details of your product as affiliates or may be as a joint venture. Hope you are up and running soon.

My 2c worth. Your site is visually unfocussed as is the content. For example: your article on buying a domain name is titled "how to buy a domain name". You advise me on what kind of name to buy and then tell me to go to my favourite registrar. But - if I need to read an article on "how to buy a domain name" that presupposes that I might not even know what a registrar is, let alone have a favourite one.

Just a quick glance at your site doesn't tell me what it is about or why I would want to stay and read more. Try and look at the site through your visitors' eyes. Hard I know when it's your site.

And as English isn't your first language, it does need a bit of proofreading.

      Good luck

Your site needs a lot of work! Lots of work!

Right now it's just not appealing to any visitor. If webdesign isn't your strong point, and it sure looks as though it isn't, then why not use a blog and a decent theme to get started and earn some money until you can hire someone to design a site for you?

So much of being online is all about the visuals and how a site is laid out. If a buyer/reader has the basics already set for them when they arrive at your site, then you're one step closer to keeping them on your site and having them click on the links you want them to click on.

Right now, there is nothing enticing to stay on your site.

        Anyway, good luck with it.

I feel for you. Don't give up though!

I used Clickbank for a few days promoting and made $60 + dollars in my first 2 days. It's not impossible. Just turn on some good music and get pumped up, then come up with a plan from what you have probably already learned!

You can get a free autoresponder account with Getresponse.

For the free version, they put small ads into your email messages. It's not ideal, but good enough for you to get started. You can upgrade to the pro version after you start making money.

(Ahem) My affiliate link is... just kidding

You can signup for a free account at
    Getresponse [dot] com /orderfree.html
    (NOT an affiliate link)

if you don't have any money to spend, just start submitting articles
    and also use forum marketing.

both of these will drive some decent traffic to your site in
    due time.

also, sorry to say, but your site is very unfocused and needs
    work.

I made my first Clickbank sale around 3 years ago by finding a good product for students, purchasing a good domain that matched it and then hanging up flyers at a university.

I redirected my domain straight to the sales page via my hoplink.

I made a few bucks but it wasn't a very effective form of marketing

It took me over a year to make my first clickbank sale, from the time I signed up with them, to the time I randomly decided to check my account and thought I was hallucinating because I saw money in there.

You could try setting up a free blogger or wordpress blog where you review products, then use the various "bum marketing" methods mentioned above to promote it.

      Best of luck!

I too, am a newbie, having first ventured into Clickbank about 4 weeks ago. I do not yet have a website but through a lot of promoting I have earned $216. Not quite enough to retire to an island but still... I hope through informational forums such as this to learn and earn much more.
I simply chose a product for which I could recognize a market and began putting links in my email signatures, ads on Craigslist, blogging about it and just mentioning the products any chance I have. Persistence and longevity are helpful.

First off, since you are trying to tell people about registering a domain name, you should add some places to register at, and maybe even host at(they are related after all). And the links can even be your affiliate links to those places. If someone clicks on them you can potentially make a couple of bucks.
2nd thing, IMHO, get rid of the adsense, unless that is going to be your primary source of income. Since adsense is geared toward what the content of that page is about, its going to have places that you can register a domain, so instead of you making some money from that, you make a few pennies when some clicks on the adsense. Plus, its in a bad place, because that is the first thing that they see.

3rd I read the free info book.In it, it has tinyurl....URLs. People just came from a page that talks about registering a domain. Just this is a redirect service for long domains, but people who do not know about register domains might not know this. Yes, I understand these are affiliate links, however, you should create a landing page for those, that could either be an actual landing page, OR, a redirect. No affiliate muck, and looks better.

4th. Since you are advising about registering domains, your free report could have been about the different domain registry places, and then again, links to them, preferably through a redirect from your own website, and then mentioned flipping websites, and maybe offering a info book on that (for a price of course)

5th. I looked over your other articles. From what others are saying, OUT OF FOCUS comes to mind. I thought this was a website about domains registry, and maybe even hosting (since they are related..hint hint) You did mention website design in one of your articles, honestly, the article is all over the place, and should focus on designing a good website like the title suggests. And not get into the goop of HTML. Another twist on that could have been show how hard it could be to design a site from scratch, and either promote some website templates, OR maybe even a website builder, like xsitepro.

This just touches the surface to be honest. The site needs to be reworked, and turned around to focus on one topic. This will also focus your readers, and look through your website for the info they came there for. Domain Registry info, and such. Oh, and make your articles a little bit longer, giving just a little more, to gain interest from your readers You can give alot of info in an article without giving away the farm. You see, if you make them longer, and better, you could also submit them to the directories. In their current condition, they have a good chance of being rejected.

I hope this helps, and remember, do not give up, or give in, just because it seems hard, if it were to easy, everyone would do it, then where would we be?

BTW Yes I know you are promoting a hosting place through one of your articles, HOWEVER, I would suggest making a list of pros and cons of different ones. Yes, a review maybe. And Yes I do understand that you want to promote clickbank products, so that you can reach your min payout, however, there is more than just clickbank products to promote. Especially in the web hosting niche.

umm..ok..sorry for the triple replies here. But something else just came to mind. Its not advisable to promote the IM market if you are asking how to make your first clickbank sale. If you can make money with other things online, you can use the same tactics with clickbank as well. For example. IF you can sell chocolate bars online, and you are making money at it. Thats means you know how to get people to your site, and convert them to buyers. You can easily rinse and repeat this for just about everything online. So, I would hold off on the IM market in the mean time.
    Just my advise. =)

    Hi,

    1. Track everything.
    2. Rely on SEO and free traffic for the first sales.
    3. Try to find some money for PPC marketing (I made $70 profit for the first day I used AdWords with a ClickBank offer)

Hint: Reverse Phone Detective offer converted very well for me!
