Do audio products sell?

I notice lots of people are marketing ebooks. I'm curious if there is a market for audio books?

I'm a writer by trade but I'm also an expert in the seduction niche. I do public speaking on the subject once a month for local mens groups.

I am very good at winging it and talking about this stuff. So I was considering creating an audio program and selling it as downloadable content for say, $27.

What do you guys think?

I could also write an ebook--but it seems like a lot more work than talking.

I don't want to do video because I don't want my face out there.

I already have a community following from forums.

Free is always the better way to go. You can go viral by giving away free content and once it reaches enough people, you can upsell them through the large list of subscribers you have attained. Never start selling because when you don't have credibility or reputation, it is bound to fail.

I think you can sell an audio program, but you might also want to include written material as some (maybe many?) prefer that kind of content as well.

It's all about how you market the solution. Your customer's obviously have a problem they want to solve, and as long as you correctly market the solution to them it won't really matter what format its in.

It's best to have all three options: ebook, audio and video.

Everyone is different, some people prefer reading, some like to listen to it on the go, and some learn better with video.

If doing audio is easier and faster for you, do the audio first then transcribe it to text, then organize the key points onto the ebook.

I agree to prevent any problem after selling your audio.. it's probably better to provide all 3 when selling. I have seen those self-help and some marketing techniques that sell pretty well on audio version.

It does sell! I know warriors who sold all their copies but, then again you have to have the "reputation"

Definitely, audio products can be hot sellers especially in this niche!

If you're like me and hate writing, I'd recommend doing a recording and paying someone to do a transcript for you. This way you'll catch a wider audience and be able to charge a premium for your program. I know I do

    Short answer: YES nuff said

EDIT: Okay joking aside, here's what I recommend you do.

Record and audio and then get it transcribed (will cost you around $10 or so) or do it yourself. This way, you have an audio and a written book.

It depends on what mood I am in, but usually I prefer video, but ebooks have their place too. Best to offer 2 options.
