Autoresponder series for IM products?

How would you structure your follow up email sequence for the IM niche if you are pushing multiple IM products?

Would you send a series of say, 3 to 7, emails that push the same product over and over again.

Or would you push a different product with each email you send?

Personally, I would focus on delivering the info I promised them in the opt-in form, and then suggest products as solutions or shortcuts etc. as they fit with the content.

Of course, you can also take the content into the direction you need it to go to give you an opportunity to push your products...

I.e., if you have products that help with traffic, provide traffic tips. If you have a product that helps with getting leads, talk about how to get leads, and so on.

The better the fitr between what the subscriber is looking for and what you're offering, the more likely it is that they'll buy...

      Thanks for the quick reply.

Sure I understand the benefit of giving quality content in follow up emails. However, what I'm wondering is... For the products that work into your content.

Would you create content based around a specific product and with each email give more quality content and push the same product for the next 3 to 7 emails.

      OR

Would you create content based on different products for each follow up email and push a different product with each follow up email?

You will need to test it. Obviously the more exposure someone has to the same product the easier it is to get them to buy it. However if you are pushing a dud product then it won't matter how many times you tell people about it. It all depends on the content of the emails you are sending and the quality of the products you are promoting. If your original product is a great product that you truly believe is going to help make their lives easier then you should definitely give them a few opportunities to purchase it.
