Paying for Aweber, But They Won't Send

I have a list of about 4,500 e-mail addresses. These are my customers e-mail addresses: people who have bought products from me.

I signed up for aweber, and went to import them, but they refused to do the import. They claimed that the list would likely have low deliverability. They want me to sort them by date of transaction and submit the newest ones first in blocks of 500.

This will take forever, and if I can't import my existing customers, I have no need for Aweber. Does anyone have any suggestions for a way to accelerate the progress with Aweber, or know an alternate, decent e-mail service that won't put me through such hoops?

Thank you for any advice you may share.
