New Site Didn't Sell - Just noticed bonus!

My site didn't sell on Flippa today. I was kinda bummed!

A few months ago I was given a peice of SEO software from a friend but never really used it. I hate SEO and always either outsource or don't do it lol.

But I thought I would just plug it in and have a look - Perhpaps try to increase my search engine rankings for the site that didnt sell.

I added in my site details and main keyword and GUESS what?
It was already ranked number 4 on page 1 of Google!
I have done nothing to this site its brand new just been listed on Flippa!

So just from listing it on Flippa it has already ranked on page 1 of Google.

I am going to add a few backlinks, and optimize it a bit more before I relist it on Flippa and fingers crossed next time not only will it sell but it will sell for more than I hoped the first time!

    that's a nice bonus.
Maybe in future you should deliberately create a bad ad designed not to sell but just to get the bonus of the boost you get, then create a killer ad to sell for more.

I personally have seen a decrease in response to my listings lately. Maybe the world is looking for specific types of sites now. Somewhere someone said if ya wanna succeed with virtual real estate invest in websites like x, and avoid websites like y.

But what are x and y? I have no clue. All I know is my websites are getting the attention they've gotten (similar sites) in the past. Maybe its the time of the year, I have no clue. Any thoughts to why your site, despite the cool bonus, didn't sell or even get a bid as you've stated?

I don't know! I sold a similar one last week and it had 5 bids. I contacted the ones who didn't win to recommend them to the auction. But no bids
Oh well I will try to up the SEO on it and get some sales and then re auction it and see what happens then.

I am wondering if it makes a differnence what day of the week you put your sites up? I tend to get good results when auction ends end of the week close the the weekend?

      Any thoughts?

I never plugged the software into the site before I listed it. I just opened it and checked the rank with the SEO software today! It ranked without me using the software
