25% Conversion Rate - Not bad eh?

I have started an SEO company helping local businesses get more traffic to their sites. I've been going through local magazines that drop through my door, find a company, have a look at their site and spot the poorly optimized ones. Then I record a 2 minute video showing exactly how 'visible' their website is on Google. So far, I have sent out 8 videos and have had 2 sales from them (£300 per month per contract, cat-ching).

Unfortunately on the email I send out, I have to send a link to the video as I'm using Jing but I want to know how to send an email with the video frame actually attached so that when they open the email, they see a video frame with their site as the first image. Then if they want, they can view the video from the email rather than waiting a good few seconds for screencast to open up, by which time I might well have lost them.

I just can't seem to find the answer!

Thanks

Bridget

I'm not sure what your question is but it looks like you are doing well with getting sales. I would suggest trying to email as many companies as possible to expand.

Sorry - not being clear. I want to find some software that allows me to email a video so that when someone opens the email, they see a video frame with the video inside, ready to play. Rather than relying on people to click on a link to a video.

I understand what you are trying to achieve but I feel the better way to achieve results would be to build your company site complete with what all you do and testimonials that way they can read more about you and your services than you can put in an email but in your email you send them to a private page to view your diagnostic of there online presence (with a private access headline) and a contact form below. This will give them more information and answer many questions.

I don't think they would appreciate spam.

Thanks for all your advice. But perhaps I gave unnecessary info and just should have asked if anyone knows of any software that allows you to email a video frame rather than just a link to a video?

        Thanks

PS - I don't think I would have acheived those two sales had they been generic videos. I think that the fact I was talking specifically about THEIR site, made them bite. I don't need a million customers, I just want to specifically target businesses that are within my criteria therefore giving me the luxury of doing custom vids.

If you attach the video to the email you will probably notice a drop in response rate as emails with attachments from unknown senders are more likely to end up in a spam folder or not be opened by the receiver. Everyone knows these days that attachments are one of the leading causes of viruses.

It might be worth testing but if you wanted to go down that route, I would probably use an HTML email and format it just like a regular email, however inside the email you could include a screenshot of their video. If they click on that screenshot it will then take them to the video on your site.

You might also consider hosting the videos on Youtube. Just simply because of it's reputation. If people see a jing website address they have more than likely never heard of jing and would be reluctant to click on that link. This could even happen when trying to get people to your website.

The best way around this is to send them to a site they already know and trust - like Youtube.
