Redesigned the Blog.

Hello Everyone,

I have a new design and structure over at my blog....
I was wondering if I can get some feedback from you guys on the positionin of the opt-in box and the adsense codes...I also used the simple wordpress forums and it integrates very nicely with the design and look...

let me know what you all think...

    Look good, i take it you bought that theme from Elegant themes?

    The header is far too large though, it looks like you are just trying to make money with those adsense ads. There's far better ways to make money in the IM niche with your blog.

    First, start by offering...VALUE.

      Thanks for your feedback captcha, I appreciate your sincerity.
      The value is definitely there and will continue to be there but adsense is just another income stream - most pro bloggers use adsense - why do you feel that it should be removed?

    Oh and one more thing, make it easier for people to subscribe to your blog. The only options are in the address bar (rarely used) and way down on the bottom right sidebar.

    Hi RRicart,

    I think what they were trying to say is that the placement of your ads are too 'in your face',

    Not to remove them entirely, but blend them within your content so it's not so obvious.

    Also, I found the text a bit hard to read for my eyes... that light grey on white doesn't have enough of a contrast for your actual content/value to stand out.

      Yes, kind of true, but sometimes you need the ads to point right in the face so that people can click on them!

      I'd say - remove the left hand side AdSense block and place something else instead of the header's AdSense - maybe find some high-quality IM product to promote and place their banner there?

      I've done a similar thing on one of my affiliate sites here:

      But the right-hand side AdSense block looks fine.

      However, you need to do testing - when you get high enough volume of page impressions, make some change and then see over time how it impact's the CTR.

    I like your blog, but the adsense is out of place imo. My eyes can't decide where I should look...

    I really like the opt-in box, but the adsense makes the opt-in box less powerful. The adsense itself becomes less interesting too. Honestly. Try to put it on the bottom, or something like that... in case your readers are not interested in your blog you know.

    I like your blog, that's why I'm sharing my opinion...
