Why Chris Rempel Is Quickly Becoming One Of My Favorite Internet Marketers

I just finished reading Chris Rempel's report on list building. No, don't worry...I'm
not going to give you a long boring review of the report.

But I got some insights into Chris as a person.

If you read his stuff, you get the impression that he sincerely cares about
the people he is selling to. I can't explain it other than the tone of his text
is very conversational and friendly.

The content...well, unless you really knew whether or not this stuff actually
works, you wouldn't know just from reading it if it was in fact solid. But, what
you can see is the amount of detail Chris goes into explaining things. He
tells you what and then he tells you why. It's not just another "do this, do
this and do that" bore fest.

I read 41 pages in about 45 minutes. So it was an easy read. That's
something else that I like about Chris' stuff...it's easy to read.

And, I see the marketing stuff that he subtly does...the OTOs and the
backend stuff and all that stuff. But he doesn't shove it down your
throat. You don't get the feeling that he's selling to you. And let me tell
you, as a marketer myself, that's a tough feat to pull off. Let's face it,
Internet marketers are darn jaded. Think I'm kidding? Just take a look at
all the posts about people bitching about one form of marketing or
another.

It's no wonder that Chris is so successful. He runs a professional operation
and he uses methods that work. I know it because I use them, though
probably not as well as Chris does because I tend to be too scattered with
the things I do and try to do too much in too brief a span of time. I have
a feeling that Chris is more focused on one thing at a time than I am, and
if I had to guess, he probably also does a lot more outsourcing that I do.

Chris, for whatever it's worth, I think you're one of the good guys.

Now, so this thread isn't just a cheerleader's rah rah for one of our own,
let me leave you with a few tips on how to become like Chris. In the
process, you'll probably find that you become a lot more successful.

Tip 1 - Be yourself. I can't imagine Chris trying to act like the Rich Jerk
or J-Mo or any of those other characters who can really get things stirred
up. Jason's last video was a scream. Chris is who he is. If not, then he is
one damn good actor,

Tip 2 - Think of others first. This is hard to do when you're trying to make
money. You can't help thinking of your bills and responsibilities and how
badly you need to make a buck...especially when first starting out. But
trust me, if you give of yourself to your prospects, you'll actually make
more money because they'll be more likely to trust you.

Tip 3 - Whatever you create or promote, make sure it's of quality. Now, if
you're not into product creation, no problem. There are some products out
there in every niche that have good reputations and most likely an affiliate
program. Point is, if you promote products that are dodgy, you're going
to hurt your reputation.

Tip 4 - Don't be afraid to give info away for free. Too many marketers
suffer from a scarcity mindset. Would you believe that I have 270 articles
on my blog that could qualify for several ebooks? I'm not worried about
giving too much away. My theory is that people will say, "If he's giving
away this much, imagine what his products are like." Scarcity mindsets
are what kill businesses. Give, give, give...until it hurts to give. And then
give some more.

Tip 5 - Be honest with your prospects. If you're selling something to them,
don't try to sugarcoat it. Be upfront. I find that when I am honest with
people, I get the best results.

I'll keep this list short because I don't want to turn this into a novel, but
before I go I'm going to leave you with a question.

Which one of these store owners would you rather buy from?

Store Owner 1 Scenario:

You - Excuse me sir, I'm looking for XYZ Product.
Him - (Annoyed) It's over there on the shelf. (and turns away)

Store Owner 2 Scenario:

You - Excuse me sir, I'm looking for XYZ Product.
Him - Oh, hold on. Let me show you. (Takes you over to shelf) Here it is.
It's the latest one that they came out with but, if you want some advice,
this ABC Product does the same thing and it costs $5 less. It's the same
thing and it comes with a longer warranty period.

Which one would you rather purchase from?

Chris, thanks for being one of the store owner 2's.

Yeah, Chris's stuff is awesome. I agree with everything you said. #3 is especially apparent if you're on his mailing list. The stuff laid out in his "Confessions" book was responsible for me making my first Clickbank sales. Definitely someone a lot of less (and more) successful marketers could learn a lot from.

I really have enjoyed and learned a lot in all of his products I have bought. He explains a strategy in 2 pages that others take 40 pages to do.

      All I can say is:

      Fair Prices
      Great Information
      Well written
      Useful and Complete!

I also agree with your assessment, Steven.

The first time I read The Lazy Affiliate, the style and "persona" if you will,

that came across was so refreshing that at that time, that it actually got me

to reinvigorate my efforts in IM.

The sincerest form of flattery is...

all the people coming out with all the conduit style sites and templates.

As soon as I read his book I knew this was a rising star in IM.

He has yet to disappoint me.

      Good on you Chris

and Merry Xmas up there in the great white north "A"

Chris certainly deserves kudos for his entire product line...I invest in most of the ebooks that I do because I observe the content and marketing processes behind them...

I actually read Chris's stuff from cover to cover and take notes. One of the few marketers that actually provides engaging content.

Many moons ago when I worked in an upscale retail department store, this was my motus operandi. I got a thrill out of finding the customer the best deal. Once when a customer was going to buy a set of cookware for $150, I told her to wait right there at the counter, then ran back to the clearance room and got the set of cookware that was a different brand but the same quality. This clearance set of cookware had already been marked down 50%, and just that day the price had been slashed *another* 75% or so, although it wasn't being advertised. I sold the same quality set of cookware to the customer for $19.95. The customer was thrilled, and I got a natural high from saving her so much money.

Not only is that good business (You think that customer didn't come back again and again?), but it just makes you feel good. Well, it makes most people feel good.

I would start with Confessions which will give you a nice basis and then that will perfectly segway to the Conduit Method. They go hand in hand but I would start with Confessions first.

Yeah, like if they were movies, Confessions would be the original where all the plot and characters are introduced, and Conduit would be the sequel that builds on that existing universe. Something like that.

    To Stephen & Everyone else:

    I am flattered.

The words "thank you" don't fairly represent how much I value this kind of feedback.

But more importantly, to anyone reading this - I can't stress enough how important and wildly effective the following things are in combination with selling in-demand products/services:

    1. Being Totally Transparent

    2. Just Sharing "GOOD" Stuff

    3. Making Every Email You Send Worth Someone's Time

If you simply do enough of that in a market with lots of buyers, you will build a substantial, unstoppable business.

"Confessions" really was an accidental success.

I launched it as a WSO in order to fully pay for a spontaneous surf trip to Mexico just over a year ago. Sarah and I were saving all the aff income and other stuff for a down-payment at the time for our first revenue property, so I didn't want to delay that.

Anyway - long story short - people loved it and it's sold something like 4000+ copies since its initial launch, with only a handful of JV's.

That was a real eye-opener for me.

It was a clear picture of the effectiveness of charging less than something was worth, while creating a memorable experience for the customer.

2 ingredients that will lay the foundation for a powerful business model.

And if you really look at it - it's just Business 101.

    Thanks again guys.

    Take care :-)

Which one would you rather purchase from?

Chris, thanks for being one of the store owner 2's.
First off, Chris's list building report was the best piece of literature on list building and email marketing I've ever read.

I, like many others, got caught up on the "What headlines will convert, how to structure emails so people will click through, etc..."

When really...if you structure your list emails to "sell products" every time your list will pick up on it and it'll backfire on you.

This is not to be mistaken with structuring your emails to sell...Chris goes into that in detail and its phenomenal. I tried it with my own list and I saw the highest conversions yet.

It's all about the value and quality...if it's there, they'll open, and they'll buy.

It really just comes down to not being 'lazy'...if you expect your subscribers to open your emails, read them, and purchase from you, then you should be spending a lot of time on them, thinking about what they want and how to deliver it with the most value possible.

    Thanks Chris.

    Now onto Steven,

I think this post has a lot of value especially since I've seen Steven and Chris offer completely different advice on threads...

Steven is all about doing everything himself...having control over his business...

Chris is all about outsourcing and focusing only on the most value added tasks (like tending to his list and waving his hand to a group of outsourcers whenever he needs something done.)

    Both, of course, are effective, yet completely different;

    HOWEVER,

both of you value your subscribers a lot and it's really funny that no matter what internet marketer I talk to, whether service provider, product creator, article marketer, affiliate marketer, etc.

It always comes down to "The Money's In The List"

    Even offline marketer David Preston...

    Something to think about guys

    Great 'kudos' post Steven.

As you said; "...you get the impression that he sincerely cares about the people he is selling to." This is especially true when you simply take the time to look at his prices! HOW CHEAP???

Don't get any ideas here Chris! lol

I'm glad that he doesn't however as then it would mean that a large number of people out there wouldn't be able to learn from him.
