Have you ever stumbled on a niche and thought "why is nobody doing this?"

Recently I have took a step back from marketing to focus on my passion, which is Hip Hop and Dubstep music production.

Whilst sitting there last night I was about to purchase something related to what I do and I noticed at the bottom of the sellers site it had "affiliate program".

I then done some research on the products and there was nothing. Nobody was promoting them.

It's a very targeted niche, but there is certainly a market. I've purchased from the seller a few times, and had that been a affiliate link I purchased through someone would have made money.

In music production everything is hype, and word of mouth. If you see someone creating awesome sounds with an Access Virus Ti2 you want one yourself. And you go about saving/purchasing it. I don't know any producer that don't work this way. On a number of the forums users will create threads and cause hype over a certain product, and I can pretty much bet a hand full of them will purchase based on other users discussions around the product. Again, I've done this lots of time.

So I am thinking, let's capitalize on this.

But that slight doubt in the back of my head is thinking "why is nobody doing it?".

Maybe it's an untapped market, or marketers are scared to venture because they don't understand the market. Thankfully I understand it, and I'm at that path where I either dedicate some time to try it, or I don't.
