EzineArticles Trying to Become Like Buzzle, But They Got Killed Too!

I have an idea.

Let's raise the minimum word count to 600.
Let's say that you can only submit unique content to the site.

If this is done I don't think you could go wrong with Google.

Well folks...

That right there is Buzzle. If you look at the charts they got hurt
just as bad as EzineArticles.

I know it sucks for EZA. I know when your revenue goes down the
hole you're willing to try anything to get it back.

However, Buzzle has always been doing what EZA is trying to now
implement and it didn't help them out.

I think it could be something more sinister with Google but I
obviously don't know.

It remind me of when Google started wiping out Google Adwords
Accounts a few years ago.

Sure a lot of the sites linked to crappy pages. But with most Fortune 500 Companies buying Adwords why would you care about the little guy any more?

The big guys don't care how much they pay for traffic and they bid on nearly everything.

Google built adwords with the little guy and now they've pushed the little guy aside.

Maybe they'll get to the point where they only want content from authors who are really experts in their fields.

While I am sure EZA brings in a nice chunk of change with adsense I doubt it would hurt Google much if they got rid of them altogether.

If you don't think it can happen there were plenty of stories of affiliates spending $100,000 per month on Adwords that got wiped out.

TruthAboutAbs.com is banned from Adwords. There is nothing from stepping them getting rid of your content either no matter how good it may be.

We rely on Buzzle for a lot of our article marketing. The articles rank well, achieve a good CTR and gain page rank relatively quickly. The recent changes to the Buzzle account have been a blow to say the least.

We had a number of articles pending in the account and then all of a sudden, i logged in and checked and they had all been deleted. No explanation from Buzzle, nothing. We had trouble even remembering the ones we submitted there in the first place!

We tried submitting a 600+ word article to take into account their new rules about submissions, but hey, that got deleted too.

Then i checked all the recent articles that had been published on the site and noticed that not one of them had an external link - all links are interlinking to other Buzzle articles.

Needless to say, we have abandoned Buzzle now. We're still doing OK with Ezine, but i fear that will go the same way. What are Buzzle thinking though? Its such a hasty decision they have made and they will no doubt lose a lot of their authors.

Its a good job we have other link building strategies in place.

I was about to start to submitting to Buzzle last night. Then I noticed that what appeared to be links within the article, appeared to be tag links to subjects within Buzzle. After checking a dozen or so other articles, I concluded that anchor text links within an article weren't available at Buzzle. So, onward and upward after having it confirmed here.

    here is EZA paradox:

they always had strict rules when we were submitting articles and we had to do what they ask.

Now, google have a stricter rules and EZA will have to follow those rules, so now they will also see what happen to the little guy.

anyway i see everyday new article directories popping up like mashrooms after a rainy day, so it is not like we really really really need a specific article directory.

Let them do their things and if we dont like it we can always find other article directories.

I think Buzzle are slowly trying to edge away from outside writers altogether. As a previous poster said, more and more of their articles are being written in-house and they all tend to interlink to each other in order to rank higher in the search engines.
