I just joined Warrior forums. Anyone can tell me what's the best thing for a beginner like me to start with?

I would recommend spending some time reading the posts in here first. Then, if you're really serious, then join the "War Room" and read the amazing posts in there. As you start to take in all the information, you'll find that one particular strategy resonates more with you than any other - at this point, stop and follow that one strategy until you start to see results.

    Hope that helps!

    -John.

Welcome to the forum. Don't forget to visit the sub-forums here (don't just stay here in the main discussion forum) to get a better idea of the specific areas in IM that you can get into (i.e. SEO, offline marketing, CPA marketing, etc.), and also ask questions when needed!

    Hi,

As mentioned by other forummers, you need to read a lot of internet marketing related materials to gain your know-how before you do your very first business.

Hi I just started a sports memorabilia store. i know about my products, but the internet marketing techniques are a new beast altogether. I apprecaite this string and any and all helpful hints for search optimization and placement are appreciated. And how long before I can realistically expect to start selling?

Are you just new to the forum, or new to internet marketing altogether?

    Welcome to the forum.

As mentioned above there is plenty of information in this part of the forum alone for you to digest if you are new to IM.

The best advice I can give you is that once you have decided which direction you want to go in stick with it until you start to see results and take action daily.

A common mistake amongst newer marketers is to jump from one thing to the next without seeing something through to the end.

welcome, the best tip i can give to newbies is the "search" function. im relatively new here as well and i find that running a quick search usually answers my question rather than posting a new thread. i will tell you that 9 times out of 10, your question has been asked already. of course, if the search comes up with no relevant results, do post a thread.

To avoid information overload, I guess the best way is to use search function and find the related keyword of things you are focused/interested in. Find the post with highest view or comments then read those hot discussion to see if that discussion excites you. Chase one topic at a time as there are just too much information here in this forum.

    Enjoy,

If you're just starting out in IM, you want to avoid spending lots of money on programs, strategies, mentoring, etc. until you know a little bit about the business, and you have a better feel for what you want to do.

As mentioned by others earlier, there are tons of ways to make money online. The biggest obstacle at first is learning how to tell the scams from the stuff that will make you money. Then you gotta figure out which way is best for you - just because I can make millions doing, say, Amazon affiliate sites. That doesn't mean you will make any money at all. Amazon affiliate sites may not interest you at all, you may not like writing for blogs, or there may be any number of reasons that Amazon might not be a fit for you. This is something you have to learn for yourself.

The point is, a lot of people come into IM and spend THOUSANDS of dollars on strategies, mentoring, memberships, etc. and never end up with a strategy that works for them. Look around, learn all you can, but keep your money in your pocket for a little while - just till you know enough to know what you need (and how much it should cost).

Just my $.02 - Good Luck!

    Hi,

I am new too. Here is how I have started with WF. At first I have used the search function to know and gather some idea. Then looked couple of post and found they are very helpful to start with IM.

So, my suggestion first use the search function to get all primary knowledge.

I have said this somewhere before but I believe, in my humble opinion, the first thing you need is to get a proper definition of Internet Marketing and learn what is required to become a marketer. Many of us arrive here from the search engines in the hope of finding a way to earn money from home. Somebody's promise of "untold riches with just a push of a button, in no time at all" misleads us down a path we think will get us there. We arrive, all shiny-eyed and ready to start cashing-in on the promise. Most people who arrive here have no clue about what it is they got into.
I think that we, as members of the forum should make it our duty to help newbies or wannabies to understand what this business is all about so they can decide whether this business is for them or not. Some members make fun of the ignorance of newcomers who ask less-than-scholarly questions. I believe that the purpose of the forum is for members to help each other, There are some of us who are not aware of this, as yet.

Welcome! Like others have said the info here is great but you may also benefit from finding a few good blogs and reading them in-depth, you'll get more focused and structured info that way and usually get enough info to figure out where you want to dive deeper.

I suggest you get started with a blog first, just any blog, whether it's free hosted one or a paid hosted one, you'll learn a lot along the way of maintaining your blog.

Hello and welcome to the WF!

This is a great place and I have learned a lot here.

My advice would be to read as much as you can on the forum. Perhaps give yourself a time limit of one hour a day. Try to avoid "Shiny Penny Syndrome" - that's when you think Oooh that looks good... and then get distracted by something else and jump over to that. I'd say 95% of us IM'ers are guilty of that

So read as much as you can and of course ask questions, but don't start threads like, "What's the best way to make money online?" because that is just going to annoy people. It's all been covered here already.

My top advice is - BUILD A LIST! I wish I had concentrated on that years ago.

    All the best,

Hi cloudiosify, first a warm welcome here on the WF, you find great people here who like to help you... most of them has already replied :-)

What I did when I started:
    - read the warrior forum... as much as I can for some days
    - than I think of one thing I like to do... mobile marketing, pinterest, social media, ect.
    - Now I try to find a WSO related where I am interested in and good for newbies
    - and try to follow this and only focus on that particular WSO and nothing else
    * try not to buy as much WSO's as you can but stay focused
