Internet marketing is dead
Affiliate marketing Is dead
Article marketing is dead
domain Flipping Is dead
Link Building is dead

It's all dead.. give up sell your PC and hustle for change.. no wait thats dead as well...

C'mon people stop with all the "Is Something dead threads", it's gone beyond a joke now.

Everyday and i mean every freaking day the same threads are posted by different people.

Forget the ezinearticle clampdown (yep it's dead) the mods here should hammer duplicate and derivative content.

Man that feels better....

I know this can open Pandora's box, but for now, I believe it's a good measure. This "death" trend is killing me.

      Pun intended.

Blackhat-methods are far from dead. I know quite a few people who work with blackhat-methods. They all say that they didn't get hit in the last Google update. In fact they see more traffic now.

I believe this is because they're using more advance methods than your "standard blackhat" who might have their sites banned.
And therefor the competition is less these days.

    Mark,

One thing at a time. At the moment, I'm more interested in getting people to post in the right sections. So, I'm mostly just deleting stuff that's obviously in the wrong place. The next move is to start deleting threads with titles so vague you have no idea what they're about.

If enough of the members care about the issue of multiple threads on a single topic, here's a solution: Post a link to whichever thread you think offers the best info, or was the first on the subject. Then report the first post in the duplicate thread, with a note about it being a repeated topic and a link to the other thread.

If people don't care enough to do that, the maniac posting of dozens of threads on one topic are apparently not a big enough concern to worry about.

it would be great to have a duplication filter on here. so when a post submitted a snippet of php flies over to the database and looks for posts with loads of matching words and returns asking "this may have been said *here* *here* and *here*, are you sure you want to post?"

alternatively anybody who posts a thread with a title that matches "is dead" should be automatically banned, lol

Every time someone says "...is dead", just means " Hey guys, don't buy THEIR course/software/theory, by MINE!" Don't fall for any scare tactics.
    Focus, stay focused, accomplish.

Except article marketing. That's now dead. Thanks Google.

Here's the only good thing about considering something to be 'dead'

Ex: Article Marketing to directories is dead

What happens now? We all wake up from the Inception/Matrix-like dream world where everything is much easier and we simply go back working on quality.

We need to phase out all the easy/automated stuff that creates poor quality and take a look back to what really works long term and will NEVER die - create good content and advertise it.

They're all actually not dead and are popular enough to earn people a sustainable income. Sooner people realize what really works, the sooner they can stop listening to the "is dead" hype, and just get on with creating something that works.

I can feel the sarcastic humor oozing from your post. 97% are failing as internet marketers. The 3% just don't seem to understand that in this marathon they are the rare breed.

You guys know its hard but when your winning you can no longer embody the emotion of desperation, frustration, anger, helplessness, and extreme disappointment.

With all of these piece of crap Clickbank products its easy to understand how somebody giving months to years of time that hasn't really seen anything can say something like that.

I personally would never say that because anyone can make it to the 3%. The biggest problem for failing internet marketers is not focusing on one strategy until they are profitable. Number two problem is hiding behind the computer never networking to get hands on mentor support. Just my 2 cents.

I just saw one that said : Twitter is dead! That's funny..
    You forgot:
    Facebook is dead
    PPC is dead
    Google is dead
    and hundreds more.
This remind me the crazy Friedrich Nietzsche that even said: God is dead.

I think this is a trend in our culture, everywhere I go I see people complaining, I go to the store and the salesman tell me this season is dead. I heard it all the time! I open the newspaper and read Newspaper sells are dead, Houses sells are dead, car sells are dead, telemarketing is dead...

Maybe we need a "Dead/Death/Dying" section.

Then all the doomsayers, goths, zombies et al can hang out there.

But if we do this, we also need a section for "Life after Death/Reincarnation" etc... Otherwise it wouldn't be fair.
