How Do You Attract Hungry Buyers?

How do you attract hungry buyers? Many books, articles and websites seem to confuse and celebrate attracting page views, hits, and people who like to get freebies as an assumption of hungry buyers.

Here's my definition of a hungry buyer ...

1. A person or company with an immediate need to buy now.
2. A person or company with the available funds to buy now.
3. A person or company with motivation to buy now.

Any hungry buyer attraction tips? Help me brainstorm, there are no bad ideas or answers. Thanks!

One way is to optimise your site/pages for "buying" keywords.
Some examples of buying keywords are product names such as Sony DSCW520 Cyber-shot someone searching for a product name like that would often have made the decision to purchase and is looking for a good price etc.

How can I lose 7lbs in a week is a search term used by someone ready to buy a guide to quick weight loss with a specific goal in mind. (maybe they are going on holiday in a week)

Other additional words show intent to buy as well, for instance bonus, discount, cheapest.

    You get the idea.

Having participated in over 30 different markets since 1999 we've gotten pretty good at this. There are many ways to attract "hungry buyers". One sure fire way is to give them what they want or THINK they need. Too often I see product creators make something that they think people will want to buy. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are way off target, but they could increase their odds tremendously if they simply asked their market what they want.

One thing that we do is intensive market research. We ask potential buyers what their problems / issues are and what they are looking for. We then purchase competitor's products and services to break them down and see how we can deliver what the market wants more efficiently.

So one great way to attract hungry buyers is exceed the expectations of that market and then make it easy for your customers to spread the word about your products.

One simple tip: many marketers neglect to having / creating a product page and then having a link in every single product that goes back to that product page. If you were to create one PDF report every single month, that's anywhere from 3 to 25 pages, and had one or more resource boxes in it, and began giving it away, you would get to a point where you'd have a lot of free targeted traffic coming in every month.

Imagine what you could do if you added a well-thought out publicity campaign?

I agree with the three points you say as hungry buyers. People who asks questions about their problem are hungry buyer as well. Yahoo answers can be a target for hungry buyers whatever niche it is.
