What Websites Let Me Advertise My Writing Services?

Over the course of the past two weeks I've managed to write for over 5 clients. However I feel that this has slowed down now and I haven't received work in over 4 days which feels like a decade. I've generated work from the 'Warriors for Hire' section and Digital Point.

Repeat clients have been my focus and I've heard some great feedback from my work such as how professional I am and the turn around time. Things like this make me want to work harder and over deliver even more. The thing is I can't do that when my work slows down.

What other websites besides the warrior forum and digital point can I advertise my writing service?

Thanks

You can try the freelance sites like elance.com, scriptlance.com, odesk.com and the like. Keep in mind a lot of the bidders on there are a little on the low side regarding price, but you should try them out.

Ultimately you do not want to depend on just 1-2 avenues for getting clients.

Tedwood, have a look at Nick Brighton's WSO on getting started on Elance and the other freelance sites. It's a good product with good advice on how you can successfully compete with all the other writers on those sites, and it's only $7.

As you said, ultimately you should get as many repeat customers as possible.

Try freelancing sites, try directly contacting marketers, build your own website.

Write articles for yourself in your free time and market yourself.

Why rely on third parties such as Digital Point? Instead create your own website and shop front to sell your services. You can use SEO or Paid advertising to get potential customers to visit your site.

The fact that you got some clients to write for should encourage you.

What are their observations about the quality of your writing service?

Did you take time to ask for their candid opinions?

You may not know, but many would-be clients may have contacted you easily if they had the opportunity of reading what a satisfied client says about your services. Try it, it works.

Don't be afraid to ask for testimonies.

A good site in which you could advertise your writing service is http://www.bizreef.com/

          All the best,
          Devid

Black hat world or fiverr, depends on your budget and what quality you need

A lot of people get started on elance, but last time I checked it was a little pricey and many times the per page rates are low. You might also try writing and selling your articles as PLR. It takes some time to build up the business, but it provides you with residual income. Once the writing is done, you can sell it over and over.

Hi there Tedwood, have you also looked at rentacoder or a site called freelance writing. You also might want to consider business networking sites.

Hey thank you for that advice! I've never thought about using my Xing account for this kind of work, but I guess that's so natural!

      I shouldn't overdo it, though.

hi tedwood, if you're looking to write articles for a flat rate, others have mentioned fiverr. however, this marketplace only allows for you to advertise your writing services for $5. If you are looking to do more quality work, you can check out other flat rate sites like zeerk, gigdollars, tenyt, and many more. These sites allow you to post your services for more than $5. For example, zeerk allows you to post for 5, 10, 15, 20 and even more. You can provide higher quality services at these sites for the higher price points.

    Hope that helps!

I believe that your actual offer on fiverr has to be for $5 hence the name fiverr. However you can offer additional services for an increased price. I have seen offers that say I will write x amount of articles for your blog for $5 and X amount of articles for an additional $$ amount.

I heard good sites for article marketing are elance, odesk, scriptlance

Yah, that's why I mentioned the other sites, because they allow you to offer your services for more than $5. Once Fiverr takes your commission, you are only left with $4 as profit. But other sites, such as the ones mentioned (zeerk and gigbux and a whole lot more) allow you to provide your services for a higher price point, meaning more profit for you at the end of the day.

I'm currently working on a project right now and will start to market it as the Internet Marketing Marketplace, which creates a marketplace for IMers to buy and sell their services for any flat rate that they choose (5,10,15,20 etc).

I think this is where people can make more money, versus only making $4 per gig at fiverr.

The Craigslist Gigs section is where you can post your writing services. Also try Fiverr, oDesk and just google up microworker sites. You can also canvas various local businesses and offer to do SEO services for their websites by writing articles for them.

      Tedwood,

I've got the exact opposite problem. I write for too many sites and not enough individual clients.

I don't think your solution is elance, guru, freelancer, or any other freelancer marketplace. You'll waste a lot of time bidding on projects when you could be producing articles and getting paid.

I suggest you check out a website called textbroker. They keep a board of writing assignments from mostly SEO clients. There's always work waiting to be done, and it fills the gaps quite nicely.

I should mention, though, it's only available to American writers.

I use fiverr and other similar sites to get customers. I also try and keep most of them as repetitive.

Some great information in here guys and I'm extremely grateful. I've added all the extra freelance websites into a word document and will go through each one.
I have an extra 9 places to find work now.
