Outsourcers in the Philippines

Hey,

Does anyone here know anything about setting up an outsourcing office in the Philippines? Or know of anyone that runs one?

I'm looking into opening one..

I'm also wondering if there is a demand for outsourcers managed by someone with Internet marketing experience and English as there first language?

You do not really have to go to the Philippines to hire Filipinos. You could set up an agency on oDesk and invite Filipinos to become providers for your agency.

Of course, if you are aiming to have a vacation in the Philippines in the same trip, then by all means do so Travel to the Philippines is not that expensive and there's lots of good, exotic food to try. Even if you don't really like going exotic, there's still lots of good food. Really nice beaches, too. And lots of diving venues, if you're into scuba.

I am in the Philippines right now and it's still the dry season so it's good. But it's going to be summer here soon (April-May) and it will become really warm. And you would not really want to visit during the rainy season (starts around June) as there'd be a lot of storms then.

I have been in the Philippines for 10 years and had an outsourcing company here for 6. You could do the same even if you dont live here. You could hire temps from agencies and when you find a good one make them an offer to work from their home on a permanent basis.

I am using odesk and freelancer websites for hiring people from abroad. No problem at all and you dont have to visit another country. Pay just for results and everything will be fine.
