Here is a quick progression of how a lot of big time gurus move through the ranks.

1. Learn how to create converting products.

2. Learn how to create a winning backend and maximize $ per sale.

3. Learn how to drive traffic to maximize backend sales. Not just sales, customers with money so coaching floors can make the most profit. Nick Marks brought this up a few days ago. This is the difference between $5,000 a week and $50,000 a week for a lot of people.

4. Learn how to launch products with high traffic affiliates, and get JVs set on a cycle. It's almost hands off profit, as you are going ot promote anyway, might as well make it two way with someone else who drives good sales. Also keeps your bottom line up and your list a bit fresh.

5. Learn how cpa offers work, and how some of those guys drive traffic most people here don't even know about.

5a. Learn how high priced banner advertising works.

6. Get into media buying. Rich Jerk anyone? I only know 2 people with IM type lists above 2,000,000 subscribers, and they both got there with media buying.

This the basic formula I've seen over and over again.

There are of course a million other ways to get traffic.

But 500,000 buying leads in one month will be an extraordinary feat.

I would buy targeted ezine ads, banner ads, and opt-in email lists. That is right after I learned enough about the best way to buy those and get results and not pay too much. I periodically find testimonies of people having done well with these yet relatively few marketers use these.

Finding targeted ezines is fairly easy, there are wasy to search them and the subject kind of describes who they target. A lot of the ezine members know like and trust the ezine so they are a kind of warm market.

Banners is big big business and as a result you can get screwed. You sign up and they just dump all you insertions fast on one not closely related set of sites. That does happen. Carlos and Lipe covered some basic protection strategies in some of their free videos. Written agreement, option to drop campaign after 24 hours if no results, insertions set qty per day over the 30 day agreement. There were a few others.

Sending out email from the companies who have large opt-in mailing lists goes from great to totally sux. It depends on the list and the deal. I ran one a long time ago for a retail product and paid per person who landed on the site, 40 cents each. Paying for a quantity of emails going out is usually not good because it all depends on the targeting of your offer for that list. Some of the companies who offer this are actually using their own in house generated lists and some are not but say they are. So buyer beware but if you get a good vendor you can send a lot of opt in emails.
