Infractions not expiring in 1 hour?

I thought that when we give someone an infraction, it is supposed to expire in 1 hour.

I was just reading a thread, taking note of a post marked with an infraction, and clicked the infraction mark to take a closer look at the details.

The infraction had been given at 06:54 my local time, expiration was set to 08:20, and the infraction still showed up at 11:22.

Is this as it was meant to be?

    From what I can see the infractions are expiring, however, they still appear
    on your profile for however long. They might stay there for the life of the
    forum, you'd have to get confirmation from someone else for that!

    (If you see my profile, I received one ages ago but it still shows! I still don't
    know WHY, but we'll leave that for another day!)

      I think I've noticed that before.

      However, this was another warriors post, where the infraction time had expired, but the little red square still showed up at the bottom right of his post.
