What Is The Best Article Directory (for content) And Why I Don' Like EZA

So,

I wanted to be cheap and fluff up a new site with a lot of content.

What is the solution for this? Article directories, where thousands of writers submit their content for free use and syndication.

What is the problem? Article directories are packed with internet marketing junk and poorly written crap.

If I'm using an article, I'm not interested in promoting you or your website, you get a resource box for that and I do leave your links in place.

What do I want, it's very simple, I want an article that presents information. No hype, no rickroll articles about X but really promoting Y.

I lost count of the number of How To Meet Women articles were really promotional pieces for penis enlargement. I suppose the suggested solution is to just whip it out at the bar and hope I don't end the night in jail. Also, if I want an article related to parenting, I'm not looking for a huggies diapers discount coupons upsell disguised as The Best Diapers For A Newborn.

So my question to you is, what article directory or syndication service really filters out the junk and provides quality content? The big article directories are not the answer. I don't want to weed through thousands of respun fertilizer articles just to find a few nuggets of value.

Lead me down the path to quality content.

to be honest i don't think there are any 'very valuable' article sites. The only way to get rel valuable content is to purchase it.

Jason, a lot depends on the nature of your site. Here are a few things to consider:

Can you get some sort of user-generated content? I have done that on one of my sites with great success--more than 600 posts in a year, all unique and original, all at no cost.

Request guest posts. Put a page up on your site describing what you are looking for and how to submit. Post a request for guest posts in Blogger LinkUp (see my sig). It's free.

Look for public domain material in your niche. It is not all a hundred years old. There is a lot of quality material from the 1940s - 1960s that has not been published online and can be used almost as-is. You also may find current material (such as publications from the U.S. government) that are public domain and can be easily edited/modified to create new content. (Note: Public domain status can be tricky, so make sure you understand how to determine if something is in the public domain before you use it.)

Hope this helps! The quest for good content never ends...

"Request guest posts" (directly and/or indirectly) is right.

Your comments about article directories are right, too, obviously.

One way forward is to put in the effort ploughing through EZA (that one's your best shot) to find one or two good writers there who write informative articles on the relevant subject(s) to you, and whose resource-boxes you can live with on your site (i.e. nothing dramatically salesy, presumably). Syndicate those articles and then (in case they're dozy and don't contact you) contact those authors and ask them for more. You'll never need to trawl an article directory again.

They're article marketers. They'll be delighted. Trading content for backlinks and traffic is how they build their businesses.

(You may also be able to do the same thing by finding decent sites of others in your niches, who have previously done the same, and syndicated others' content. Contact the people whose work they've syndicated.)

I have used ArticlesBase and GoArticles. You will definitely have to weed through content there but I usually think that the quality is alright for my purposes. What is your definition of quality?

Bizymoms.com has been working well for me. They allow you to choose whether you want to submit unique content or content you've submitted elsewhere.

If you submit unique content, you can put 2 links of your choice in the article body plus 2 more links in the resource box. If you submit content already submitted elsewhere, you will be allowed only 2 links in the resource box.

The great thing is that they will sometimes choose your articles to be included in their Facebook Page and tweet about them.

Another good one is associated content. You can even submit content you've submitted elsewhere and get a backlink in the article body itself.

      IMHO

I stay away from article directories like EZA because most of the writers are marketers that are not keen with their topic. I go to authority sites that were made by real experts to learn the topic and then make some good content. For example in the muscle building niche one of the best sites is bodybuilding.com. It takes some time to look around but you will find all the info you will need.

You might want to re-read the original post as you seem to have missed what he was actually asking.

What about an article directory where everyone has paid at least $20 an article to have their content syndicated?

And only those who have paid will have their articles shown in the directory?

Would you expect that such a place might have better quality articles to choose from?

If that concept sounds interesting, take a look at:
