problem with url

I recently used a pointer to redirect a new domain name to my site, when I bring up the site it has facebook attached to it. How do I unattach it and how did it get ther in the first place.

    Not sure I get the question but how did you redirect? Did you use any code/script or did you use the redirection facility provided by domain registrar?

      I used the hosts redirect but I think I fixed it. I went into facebook and changed the privacy settings. For some reason it only came up when I typed the url into bing. ? I just don't understand why it was attached in the first place.
