Is world cup affecting your IM business?

Hi, I discovered a serious drop in the number of visitors from the day World Cup started. The sales has also decreased.

Just want to know, is the same happening to you also or its me only?

If its me only, then I would like to investigate the reasons behind it.

Thanks

Fair point, you can count our Americans, as they do not like cricket.

But for Aussies, Brits and Indians then definitely.

But I would say the vast m, majority of people on here are from the U.S and Canada

While I'm in the U.S., I do get a fair number of customers from the Commonwealth countries, and I've noticed a slight drop-off this weekend. Nothing overly drastic, but noticeable nonetheless.

This issue occurs in some countries only, like Ausis, India, England etc.

You will find that sales could drop or dip in some countries (or world wide) depending on major sporting events or major news events.

For example let us say you were promoting a product to New Zealand, and you had everything set to go, and pressed the send button and within hours the world hears about the dreadful eathquake, your sales will drop to zero, that is just a fact.

Another imprtant thing which I tell my clients, is mark on their calenders, important sporting events around the world, and do not sell into those markets when these events are on.

But, and as in life there is always a but in business too. You can also see a climb in sales too. This is due to the fact that people have seen and heard about say Rugby. And they go online and do some research and find your product that helps them understand or improve their game of Rugby.

So yes major events can and will impact your sales, but as explained above it could also improve the sales.
