By the time I figured out that I lost all my old Warrior pm's and emails/ phone numbers contained therein.....by the time I figured out that all my previous posts are gone forever....and the fact I had to go through hoops of fire to reset my password and re do my profile which doesn't even begin to do me justice.....I became slightly bitter.

Honestly??? Unlike most of you.....no big orgasm from Vinnie here over the latest Warrior version. Sorry.

To be honest...the process of losing all my information...and reapplying....was like doing 5 years in Club Fed for Tax Evasion....except prison was quicker in terms of time and pain.

Trying to get back on the new and so-called improved Warrior Forum before some scalp ripped of the Vegas Vince name...and my awesome reputation for warm and fuzzy-ness.....was about as easy and fun as banging my testicles into the old oak tree. NOT VERY.

P.S. I realize I'm the only one here who thinks the stripping of previous posts feature is a bad thing. Most of you don't care...cuz it removes all accountability for anything you say in the future, I guess.

But for those of us who put our heart and soul into everything we posted....it SUCKS.

And for those of you who wrote stuff you are sorry about...you get a free pass now. Cuz the record just got burned up. Lucky you...same goes to those of you who bored the maggots off your momma's corpse with some of those posts of yours. You are in the clear too! No accountability.

To me....the credibility and integrity of a warrior was always judged on his or her own words....words he or she had the guts to post. NOT THE FRIGGIN' AVATOR OR PROFILE RHETORIC...BUT THE WORDS HE OR SHE HAD THE BALLS TO POST! Now that's gone. How sad.

Anything that destroys "the truth".....via destroying "the record".....is a bad thing. Prior Accountability....can no longer be checked.....that's sadder.

I think this is the best config I've seen yet for a VB forum.

I hope that the change doesn't chase people away.

I have noticed over the years that every time a popular Snitz forum migrates to a shiny new platform, everyone loves all the new stuff and lots of new posters suddenly start to post, but the regulars tend to post way less, and after a few weeks the activity for the whole board falls way off and never returns to it's former glory.

I really like the Warrior Forum a lot and I hope it doesn't change in a way that drives all the great conrtibutors away. One of the problems with VBulletin is the tendency to make you mad when your long post disapears due to the unexpected ending of your session.

One thing I liked about the Snitz forum was the starkness of features. This made the content of the posts standout rather than the features of the forum software. I'm not sure, but I think that is the single biggest factor in losing contributors from forums that migrate away from Snitz.

You have to round them up off the internet, upload them to your host and then use the image function. It's a PITA but as I'm extremely childish and better at expressing myself with a stupid face than speaking, it works for me.

I'm really loving this 'new and improved' forum, it loads much faster for me and the look is clean and tidy.

On a downside though, I've spent all morning playing around with it and not got much else done. Time to walk away and do some work me thinks!

Yes when I followed the above instruction everything I typed was gone.

This is the 3nd time this has happened to me in this session.

There are 2 ways round this John. One is why bother logging in and out each time you come here? If there is only you using the computer then when you login in, just don't logout when you go elsewhere. Next time you return you automatically get logged back in as the cookie didn't get removed. Make sure you have 'remember me' ticked.

The second one is keep logging in and out, but when you do login, again make sure the 'remember me' part is selected. This means you won't experience the 'cookie timeout' when you are reading long threads. That's why you constantly need to keep logging back in. It's a cookie problem. Selecting 'remember me' should fix it.

Unless you are using AOL browser - which sucks mightily - the above should solve your problem. Otherwise dump AOL and use IE or Firefox.

@ Bev If you go to your Edit Options in UserCp and scroll right to the bottom, select the Advanced WYSIWYG editor option and you'll get the full text box including a panel of emoticons show up when writing your post.

That last was a test for Kevin Rileys' benefit. The Advanced WYSIWYG in selection allows you to change size, font and colour so that should sort you out.
