I Need To Outsource Classified Ads Posting

Hey,

I never used the classifieds ad sites, and I am willing to start... In fact, I prefer to pay someone to do it for me...

if you are experienced with posting ads to these website for your website, I am willing to pay you to post to advertise my websites.

Please, can you help me to answer to these questions:

I'll give a one time job to do, that means that I will pay once at the end of the job.

How much should I pay? I think this is a $10 per hour job. Am I right?

Can you help me answer to these questions?

1. Please, tell me how long you need to post to these sites (I'll provide the ads)?

2. What are the results (traffic/sales/leads) you get from classified ads sites?

3. So you have some good classified ads sites that I can add to this list (see below).

craigslists.org
usfreeads.com
classifieds.myspace.com
classifieds.yahoo.com
classifieds.aol.com
kijiji.com
oodle.com
adpost.com

Thanks for your help warriors.

Franck

$10 an hour is good if you are going American, if over seas you could pay a lot less, just check out any of the freelancing sites. It takes less than a minute to post an ad, but on craigslist they should all be unique if possible so they dont get flagged and deleted. And as far as results, those will vary considering the sites, the threadline and the description, just keep testing.

    Thank you Mary,

I am looking at Elance right now.

Do you advertise your site on such sites?

Also check out scriptlance. One thing I've found with outsourcing though is that it tends to work best when you give SPECIFIC instructions of what needs to be done. I learnt this the hard way with classified ad postings, but a lot of times people will say they can do the job, but then they run into issues (ghosting, flagging etc etc) that wouldn't have occurred if I had been specific about what was expected.

If you're posting more than 3 times a day it's going to be considered against the TOS (on CL at least). So if you're interested in getting around it on CL, this is what needs to be done by your poster: (this is copy/pasted from here btw: Free Image Hosting - Free Photo Hosting, Free eBay Image Hosting, Free CraigsList Image Hosting, Craigslist Posting Tips)

      1. Images should be used in lieu of text ads. do not upload directly to Craigslist's server. Instead use image hosting site such as Imagesne1.com. The main reason is Craigslist servers keeps cache of your image files on the server and it will detect if it is mass posting or not by using the cache.

      2. Save your images in multiple formats like same images in jpg, gif, png, psd and so on or upload them into the Imagesne1.com and use different names for the same images for ad postings.

      3. Do Not use same titles more than 3 times. If you do, Craigslist will flag the ad as mass posting.

      4. Create image by using Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks to create image ads where all your information is on image instead of text ad. This will make Craigslist hard to detect and flag the ads as a mass posting.

      5. Do Not post phone number as text. Instead create image files for your phone number if you are using text ad. Main reason is Craigslist can search the phone numbers through database and delete them as mass postings.

      6. Do Not post more than 5 ads at a time on same IP address. If you do, Craigslist will flag the ad as mass posting.

      7. Use free proxy services such as Quarkspy.com to post ads if you cannot or don't know how to change IP address manually (will go into this bit later).

      8. If you can afford, use private VPN services for IP addresses. Average monthly price is around $50 for this kind of service.

      9. If you use autoposting software, remeber to change IP address after 5 postings or your ads will be flagged. The best autoposting software I have used is called EZ Ad Poster. If you search the Internet, you will find nulled version which you could use it for free instead of paying $500 for it. Don't even bother with other software such as CL, Craygo, Adbomber and so on. They all sucks because I have tried all of them.

Awesome ideas Dave! Mind if I use them for my Filipino VA?

Elance has been awesome for me.

My best find so far was a woman from Ireland who was just looking to make a little extra money. She was by far the best (and cheapest) virtual assistant I've had. She spoke perfect English and was very diligent. She even had a number of great ideas that I hadn't thought of!

Sorry but I can't let this pass me by.....

English does happen to be our first language in Ireland....... so most of us are actually pretty good at it!

I wonder if she's tax compliant: The average rate of pay for a standard 35/40-hour week is about €500 to €800 for most low to medium level admin-type work in Ireland (that's approx. $650 to $1000... or between $17 and $27 per hour).

I would hazard a guess that, if she's charging less than about €10 an hour (that's about €13), she's unlikely to be declaring the income.

It won't be a problem for you but, if she's rumbled, she better be very diligent indeed (unless her total earnings are so low that she's outside the 'tax net' altogether). (Actually, it would be a problem for you: they'll crucify her and, at the very least, you could expect a big drop in productivity.)

Probably won't happen but just sayin'...

      Tommy.

I need classified ads and I just need to try Craigslist first. So how about using Craigslist paid service? Does it worth that? Does Craigslist accept PayPal payments?

No worries. i'll add another thing. You want to make sure in project posting that you specify that the outsourcer is responsible for setting up verified accounts. A lot of categories in CL require this now (services for instance) and it can be pretty tedious to try set up a multiple accounts yourself.

If the person you're looking to hire knows what he's doing he should be able to set these up himself.
