Multiple vs Single offers?

Hello fellow Warriors!

Looking for some insight into a field I'm fairly new to - figure this info will be good for others as well.

In your experience as either a service seller or customer, which is more appealing - having multiple options or one? To give a bit of context into the question, I'll use my service as an example: http://www.warriorforum.com/complete...cro-sites.html.

Currently I offer 3 packages for each service, however I'm finding that the majority of sales for both tend come from only one of the options. To streamline my service and simplify everything I've considered slimming down the options to one per service (the ones most sales are coming from).

So what are your thoughts on this? Can too many options turn away potential customers? Is more really better in this instance?

Cheers!

From a customer perspective I like either like a silver, gold, platinum option or the one option and then hit me with recurring membership, upsell 1, upsell 2, and upsell 3. That is if you wanna get the most out of me.

Some offers are set up with 3 price levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, here's a simplified example:
    Bronze 1 for $7
    Silver 5 for $30
    Gold 10 for $40
the Bronze price brings them to the offer, Silver is an only moderately better deal, if designed right Silver acts as a stepping stone to the Gold deal, if designed properly there are minimal Silver sales, it is there solely to make the Gold package look more attractive by comparison.
