Media buying and fake news pages

I am wondering if fake news sites are the only things that work with the ad networks these days. I've been trying to use original landing pages and original ad copy but they hardly convert compared to just swiping an existing fake news page and using identical ads. I would think that consumers have seen these same ads and copycat sites hundreds if times and would react to something different, but it's almost like they trust these fake news sites more even though they all look the same. And on top of that some of the bids for good placement are in the $5 to $8 a click range. I don't understand how they can turn a profit. My conversions using the same pages are nowhere high enough to pay those prices. Just wondering if anyone else has similar experiences.

More experienced affiliates have cut better deals, thus can be profitable at a conversion % you cant

What some less that white hat operators do is use PPV (pay per view) to target those exact fake news page URLs for pennies. So your landing page gets shown as a pop up whenever their fake news page gets shown.

So that explains the conversion rates and profitablity, but what about the part where people only seem to react to the same pages that are copycatted over and over? Is that people who realize their fake wouldn't buy anyway and the people who do buy get some kind of comfort level out of knowing that every page selling the same products looks the same?

The pages work because they provide social proof plain and simple. It's obviously fake social proof, but the end consumer doesn't know that, to them that stay at home mom, or aging baby boomer is real and is a story much like their own life, that's just good direct response.

As far as traffic, you'll never be able to compete with the guys on Pulse360 or similar ad networks. Your competing against the merchants themselves who get the benefit of point of sale money and LCV, and affiliates with direct deals at twice the payout your seeing on any network.

There's still a million other traffic sources where the competition is not, where most fail is trying to be a copycat and buying on Adblade, AOL, Pulse etc only to lose money every time. You can easily make network payouts work for you as a small time affiliate if you bring those same ads and landers to other traffic sources.

These kind of landing pages pages work. There are so many people out there that have never seen an ad and a landing page like that.

If you look, you will even find that people still use these landing pages and drive traffic through Google.

But only because it works, you should not do it. Find a real product and promote it without deceiving consumers. You will make more money in the long run and you will stay out of hot water.

Is it smart to use Pulse360 to promote Biz-opps now?
