An unsolicited email I received that gave me a call to action

This is the email I received which I am happy to blog about on my car site:

---------
Hi there,

First things first let me tell you how big of a 1200bhp fan I am. As a proper gear-head working on a car account in a London ad agency, I need to keep up-to-date with absolutely anything car-related (or at least, that's the excuse I use when my girlfriend begs me to stop watching 'silly stuff about cars' at 2AM on my laptop). I don't know anything better than car blogs such as yours to do this. I am therefore immensely grateful to you and your team. May you all keep up the good work!!

I also wanted to let you know about a brand new TV ad we - Euro RSCG London & Citroen UK - released a few days ago to celebrate the fact that the DS3 has been chosen by the Top Gear crew as their Car Of The Year. This is an extremely flattering recognition, especially knowing that we were up against the likes of Koenigsegg, Maserati, Bentley, Jaguar, etc... That's exactly what we wanted to tell the world about (well, at least the UK) with this ad.

So here it is - 30 seconds of 'car porn' for you to share with your readers. Hope you'll like: YouTube - Citroën DS3 - Top Gear Magazine Car of the Year Advert

Here's the press release that goes with it: DS3 Top Gear 'Car of the year' | Our news | Citroën UK
And here's how Top Gear sums up the DS3: 2010 Top Gear Awards: full winners list - BBC Top Gear

Any question, do not hesitate to give me a shout.

All the best,

Sebastien Vasseur
Strategic Planner at Euro RSCG London

Notice how he personalised the email with only mention of my blog but the flattery that he included to it being one of the sources he uses for research on cars for his business.

would you respond to the email or blog about it?

This guy is part of the advertising company right?? Because in the above phrase he sounds like he's part of Citroen.

As a fellow gear head keep doing what you do and I just added your site to "my list".

Yup he is part of an ad agency. Put I liked the 'pitch' and sent him an email and added some fresh content. He in return will be sending me more up to date content, fresh. So that is a win/win as far as I am concerned
