hello guys,
on last february i did a product launch that i think the result is not as i expected..

here's little bit of scenario:
a. Product Price $9.95 for 2 weeks trial than $49/month afterward
b. affiliate commision 30%
c. payment process handled by Plimus
d. Niche: Forex Market

in prelaunch, i got staff to do blog 'walking' by invite most forex blog owner, forex robot, etc... when product launched, the convertion take around 5%.. i saw a lots of IM's "forex" guru did a lot better than i did... but current overhead cost is too high...

so i'm thinking to relaunch this product under different name and with more proven strategy...

Would like to know if:
a. I market it on clickbank, i will have more opportunites compare to plimus ? plimus are easier to set up with same features as clickbank

b. $9.95 trial is a mistake since the commision is too low and not attractive in affiliate's perspective ?

c. Our product is too cheap ? since similiar business model charge around $197/month... Could visitor thinks that cheap means not a qualified product (or scam) ?

we sent a lot of invitation (i think its more than 500 JV's invitation), the registered affiliate only 10 !! Does many marketer do blog walking ? or is there any "smart" way to get super affiliate ?

Does product relaunch could help ? or its better to fix the running one ?

Need your idea... i'm sorry i'm not post the url since i don't want other member think that this is self promotion

(@ moderator, please don't delete this post.. this is not self promotion.. i'm stuck and no idea to go... and running fixed cost ahead ! i promise none of warrior members will know the exact url of my money site- you could check my PM as well)

    This is what affiliates want:

60-75% conversion, why not you get 25-40% for doing nothing - 80% for super affiliates

What is your converting percentage for sales?

Do you give the affiliates resources to promote with (email swipe, banners, articles, landing pages, rebrandable e-book)

Are there upsells for more money for affiliates and what are those converting at?

  • Yes definitely up the affiliate commission to 75%. So many products offer that these days, so if you are down at 30%, you're going to struggle to get anyone to market it for you.

Definitely try clickbank, the more networks you become affiliated with the easier it will be for you to let others help you. You might also want to look into CPA networks.

    b. $9.95 trial is a mistake since the commision is too low and not attractive in affiliate's perspective ?

If I were you, I would do a free trial for the first month. Free trial offers look more appealing and are likely to convert.

    c. Our product is too cheap ? since similiar business model charge around $197/month... Could visitor thinks that cheap means not a qualified product (or scam) ?

I'm not sure what exactly is your product. Can't tell you more without looking at your website.

we sent a lot of invitation (i think its more than 500 JV's invitation), the registered affiliate only 10 !! Does many marketer do blog walking ? or is there any "smart" way to get super affiliate ?

Getting affiliates can be tough. They look for an experienced online business owner with a successful website. I wouldn't give up. Try to re-submit your application to them.

Does product relaunch could help ? or its better to fix the running one ?

You got to ask yourself a question, "What specific results am I looking for from this launch/ product?" It may make sense to make a new product based on your previous product. But again, I couldn't tell you more without seeing your site.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!
