Need a wee bit of advice (set up my first website)

Hello warriors,

So my website is basically up, it needs fine tuning and content put up on it and so forth. But the base of it is there.

My questions are: Do I need a squeeze page and autoresponder this early? I already have a place they can subscribe if they want the free ebook/newsletters on the front page. Being the website is brand new it is safe to just do this manually?

Secondly, can any of you recommend any twitter programs that find followers based on interest or what they are talking about? Because I know a few hashtags that will almost certainly be in my niche.

I am about to publish my first article. It has been revised a few times, are there any WP-plugins ideal for quickly optimizing keywords, adding nice backlinks etc?

Finally, I want to set up a feed with feedburner. But is this worth it being my website is brand new and not likely to get much traffic yet?

All the best,

Ben.

P.S sorry for all the waffle.... I could go for a waffle right now actually

You should put your website in your signature and yes get a autoresponder and make a squeeze page. Build your list from the beginning. If you are doing free traffic learn SEO.

If you aren't expecting many (if any) sign ups, I guess there's no big rush. However, I would add the squeeze page and autoresponder as soon as possible just to minimize any manual effort you will have to do.

If you re familiar with programming, I would look into twitter's API. I believe there should be functions for you to search and then extract followers... and then automate the following process of those extracted followers.

Here is something I have done using their API. I found twitter accounts that were related to my niche. Then, I followed all their followers.

However, note that twitter's API has some restrictions; e.g. X number of calls per hour, 2000 follows per account.

I will put my website in my link as soon as it is fully set up. And yes I'm going to be going mainly the free route lots of quality back linking (which reminds me any advice on finding follow blogs I can link on?). Added to with some article marketing and at the same time building a list. I am mainly in it to learn the SEO side of things to apply for an agency post-uni.

    All the best,

    Ben.
