Did you apply for diamond?

Hey guys and girls, did anyone else apply for diamond at ezinearticles.com?

I literally just did it last night and I'm wondering if anyone else has tried to apply yet.

    I haven't applied yet.

Platinum is working well enough at the moment.

You can read about it on their blog here:

I haven't attempted to upgrade yet - I do believe I'd get the upgrade

  • I am currently a Platinum author on two of my accounts, and honestly unless the review times go way down, there is little motivation to upgrade. As it stands now, most articles are approved within 24hrs, which is fast enough for my needs or really anyones.

  • Review times are no longer 24 hours for platinum members, it appears that the whole system has changed to make diamond the 24 hour one and platinum the 2-5 days one.

Yeah, they're trying to reward the people who post articles more frequently than the ones who don't, it seems.

I think you meant to say that, the EZA team, are trying to reward authors who consistently submit high quality content that adheres to all of EZA's editorial guidelines.

lol I remember that part, I was just mentioning something else in the email that caught my eye that it seemed others had failed to mention. Though regularly and frequently don't mean the same thing.

"It represents someone who only writes original works, presents them in an easy-to-read format (bullets, numbered lists and only a hint of bold or italics styling), doesn’t generate user complaints, submits regularly and is a genuine expert in the topics he or she writes about (as evidenced by their website URLs and bio)."

"Diamond" is a great psychological tool, Chris is brilliant.

Just when veteran high-quality authors are learning that there's a whole other world outside of EZA to go conquer (one in which their work will be better appricated AND better compensated for) he lures them back in with another hoop to jump through to make them feel...special.

Oh and maybe another free mug also!

Very smart marketing at work, I give him credit.

LOL Gotta love the free mug, though mine was broken on arrival. Oh well, great opportunity to test out Mighty Putty.

If you thought Platinum was good, Diamond takes it to a new level.

It's a bit like on Spinal Tap where their amps go to 11 because 10 isn't enough.

I'll probably catch some heat, but what the heck...

I honestly feel that EZA is doing WAY too much changing in a little amount of time. I truly don't see how the "Diamond" account status is going to change things in regards to the content issues they have at the moment.

One minute I hear the Diamond talk, the next minute people are saying accounts are getting banned and the next no one is able to get one single article approved (and I'm talking about writers who DO submit quality content, not rehashed garbage that barely qualifies for an article, let alone readable content that can stand on its own).

I personally haven't submitted much of anything to EZA since all of these changes started taking place, simply for the fact that I don't know where they stand. I plan to wait out all of these quick-fix solutions and see where they sit afterwards. Too much "panic mode" going on over there, IMO.

The only thing that would prompt me to want to apply is faster review times. They can keep their diamond images, their more experienced editors (which they should be using on everyone else to weed out all of the bad content), and their 250-400 word range articles on request.

I haven't apply for diamond yet. I am not trying ezinearticles.com yet. Now I am trying to submit article manually. I believe that manual submission works fine.

I agree, don't blame them for panicking but I don't think adding another level is the answer.

No you can't have a diamond account but you can have a mousemat for your past efforts.

LOL I doubt Mr. Bot will be able to answer.

Did you see? it was attracted by the word diamond, put all those enlightening posts just to blast advertising about diamonds and a link.

It will be deleted and banned fast. But if it stays enough, they can pick up the cache page in google and submit that to wherever they submit it to.

old school black hat marketing at work.

          Hit and run, Sandra.

I have noticed at this time of day it seems to take that vital extra bit of time to zap spammers here.

I haven't bothered at the moment. I've been Platinum with them for years and I so far (touch wood), have seen little difference in my approval times. Of course, if things do deteriorate, I shall have to re-think, but at the moment, things are fine as they are.

I applied for Diamond status and already received word that I'm approved.

Not sure exactly how it will be helpful to me, but it was easy to apply and why not get a higher status if you're using the site for promotion?

I haven't applied for it. Seems there's enough uproar at EZA at the moment so I'll wait till things calm down a bit.

I dislike EZA going from 250 word minimum (which is a short blog post) to 300 then 400 - and then allowing 250 words if you are diamond. That took the shine off the diamond for me.

Well, since the update, basic Plus account turn around times went down the toilet. Can you apply for Diamond by not yet being a Platinum? i.e. can you skip a grade?

I haven't applied for it yet. Don't think I will be doing it any time soon. It does not bother me having to wait a few days to get approved. It doesn't make any extra work for me having to wait longer.
