Need some advice on joint ventures...

Hey everyone,

So I emailed a few vendors in a related niche about a JV with my own info product, and they emailed me back wanting a review copy.

I have nothing to worry about just sending them the PDF right?

I think that's pretty standard. Are you worried the partner will steal your ebook and rebrand it as his own?

You shouldn't have anything to worry about. It is a common practice to request a review copy before promoting something so as to ensure you are promoting quality.

Before sending a review copy - i would just make sure that the person requesting the review copy is a legitimate affiliate/jv who will surely help sell your product if they find it is up to their standards...

There are always going to be a lot of freebie seekers - but a quick Google search can let you know who can be a legit affiliate.

    Hey Nate,

I think it is fair to ask for a review copy because people
want to know if their customers can benefit from your
    product.

I never promote anything I haven't went through because my
    reputation is really important.

So, if you want JV partners you have to be willing to give
them a free copy, this way they can evaluate it.

    Thanks,

That's more than fair. In fact, it's a must.

They have the list, you have to provide something
of value. A great start to a great JV relationship is to
hook them up with your product with no charge.

Have a blast and make it happen!

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. I appreciate it. Yeah I was probably giving myself way too much credit to think someone would just take it and copy it.

    Thanks again.

Of course they would want a review copy. They don't want to promote a crappy product. I am sure that you have a good product set up and they will gladly promote it for you..
