QR code size for Print media? HELP ...

Hello!

What size should a QR code be for print in a magazine?
.25 x .25 inch, if not what size is best?

Is there a free QR generator that will generat at least a jpg of 300 dpi?
I tried using goqr.me but don't think that will work to generate what I need for print.

My graphic designer says eps (vector) file is best so there's no distortion.

Can anyone help answer these questions?

Thanks in advance!

look for one that outputs an EPS vector format - you could use mine but am not fully up and running just yet

*sorry didnt read fully your post

alternatively go for a png and sometimes you can choose the largest size ie size 10

just make sure you test it - i did some business cards and flyers using non eps qr codes and none of them worked because i had scaled them - learnt the hard way almost $200 in the trash!

In my opinion this is the best QR Code Generator, and this one has that EPS download option that you are looking for.

Regarding the size of the QR Code, the best recommendation is to try it using at least two different smart phones to see if they can read it without problems.

      Hope that this helps you,

I don't know about magazines, but a couple days ago I noticed QR codes on the little standing card advertisements they place on the tables at the mall. The QR codes there were about 1 square inch with a buffer of about a quarter inch. There was fine print underneath directing people to a website if they didn't know what the QR code was. I don't know if I would have noticed the QR code if it were printed smaller.
