Warriors making $$$ with ONLY Opt-in List

I was wondering if any warriors main source of income is from one of their Opt-in lists. I have been failing to make money online for a while now...Along the way, after trying so many new methods and reading so many new threads, I realized something that I saw in common on a lot of the threads. Many people have said that their list is what is making them the MOST money out of everything.

I was setting up a squeeze page in the dating niche to start creating a list, I've heard from somebody that is successful with list building that when he first started his list he would get anywhere from 1 - 4 sales per 100 Opt-ins at $17 per sale, does that sound about right to you guys? How much sales do you get per 100 Opt-ins?

I just want to make building a list more enthusiastic for me. I'm already excited to start my list, I just would like to hear others successes with list building.

P.s. List building will be the only thing I focus on for the entire next month, does it take long to get to $50/day with a list? Are there any threads that you guys think would help me? Success stories with lists? Fail stories with lists? Tips and tricks for list building.. Etc. Anything that you guys think would help me along the way.

EDIT: After I got about 100 Opt-ins I was thinking about making the first Ebook that I sell only $7 - $11 each, somewhere around that price. I figured that if the price was that low then a lot more people would buy and also it would be a little gift for being the first people on my list. What do you guys think about this?

The majority of my income comes from list building. I have lots of lists for different purposes.

It's such a simple business model:

Traffic --> Free Report --> One Time Offer --> Provide Value --> Promote

    Rinse and repeat.

Once you have these funnels setup your primary focus is to drive traffic.

I know people that have autoresponders setup to give 52 weeks worth of content along with affiliate offers so that person is totally hand-free. He just drives traffic.

That is an excellent model that requires a lot of time and preparation, but after all that work you could describe it as "automated". Rinse and repeat would allow you to create and automatic business of email and affiliate marketing. My favorite kind of business.

As long as you are providing quality content across the web, you will see a consistent increase of subscribers. It may only be 2-5 people per day in the beginning month though. Once you build your name more in the industry and make connections, you will be able to see larger increases.

List building is an easy way to create a large income. Your success per list will depend on the niche you've chosen as well. If you're in the IM niche and have a small amount of knowledge, you can easily add a thousand subscribers to your list in 30 days from this forum alone.

Your product creation idea is great. About 2 weeks before you actually promote the product, send your list a survey. Offer a special bonus to all that answer it completely. This can be a 1-10 page report on anything in your niche...just provide value. You can ask questions to find out exactly what kind of product they want. Create a product that answers their questions. Then, send them the promotion email saying you've answered all their questions in your product.

You will get a killer conversion rate with this approach.

Focus on list building but remember to have something to
sell, because if you send out emails all the time with just
tips when you try to sell something they will be surprised.

The price of your ebook is related to the quality of it.
Also remember that when you price something low people
associate it with low quality, this is the way our mind
    works.

I suggest you do a research and find out the price of
    similar ebooks.

    Thanks,

List Building is a great way to make money but always make sure to provide value. If you can not do this then you are not in good shape. Make a relationship with your list and have them love you. Then they will buy anything.

Also, don't give up on this. The reason you haven't made money is because you are hopping around too much! Just Chill!

    Thanks guys!

I'm about to get the squeeze page set up right now! I was wondering, when would you try to sell your first product to your list?

Also, after you sell the first product do you just continue on a patter (every 2 days pitch a product) or would you go by how long it's been since you've sold the last product?...for example: John has a list and he pitches a product 3 days after you've signed up...now he goes for another week and doesn't pitch another product for a full 7 days since he just sent out the last one Basically the first question all over again, when would you sell the products and how often? What works well?
