Here is your article for $5

The recent conversation about how much you should pay for a quality article struck a chord with me. I have been outsourcing writing a lot, and while you can get good results for $5, more often, it is a case of a grammatically correct, but very poor and meaningless article.

So here’s an example.

Just replace <NICHE> with your niche and you’re set.

* while I wrote this article as a mock-up, almost all of it come from real articles I’ve received after ordering them on Fiverr, and I’m not mocking Fiverr - you’ll get results like these everywhere if you’re not ready to research writers OR pay for quality.

Enjoy! And in case you do decide to use it... I don’t want to know

<NICHE> is a very broad and interesting subject, and, in order to become proficient in <NICHE> you must attend a school or university that teaches it. A school or university is a place where people go to learn, and it is especially good to attend an educational facility that has teachers that are specialising in <NICHE>.

If you are looking for jobs in <NICHE> it is a good idea to look for job opportunities online, since this is where a lot of companies put their ads. Because of the economy today, it is often cheaper to post ads online than it is to do so in newspapers.

There are three best products in <NICHE>, and I have tested them all. Testing is a very complex process, but it is necessary in order to review the product. Read <NICHE> product reviews her
e.

And so on it goes.

I mean.. is there ANYTHING you can do with article like this? I’d happily pay more and not have to deal with such garbage.

will definitely try article thanks friend

    /sarcasm

To be fair, I outsourced a lot of articles at $5 and they were written on subject, but with the obvious 3rd world grammar issues. Still, copyscaped passed and keyword rich.

Well put, Matt. You pay peanuts, you get monkies...

Zeus' thread said it all, if someone would rather have a $5 dollar article that will likely struggle just to pay for itself, by all means, knock yourself out and enjoy.

But if you'd prefer instead to pay $20 for an article that properly allows the reader to pre-sell themselves while providing truly valuable content, there are plenty of resources available.

    Not really.

Well ... I don't know. I suppose you can use it as a "chunk of text to which a backlink can be attached".

And many people think that's what an article is.

The longer I stay here, the more I read here, the more I look at and think about what other people are saying about "article marketing", the more aware I become that the conversations are "difficult" not just because what many people think of as "article marketing" isn't actually article marketing at all (though clearly that's true): it goes a lot further than that, too. What many people think of as an "article" isn't actually an article at all. (And even what many people think of as an "article directory" isn't always an article directory, either - and what many people think of as the purposes of article directories seems specifically to exclude their primary purpose!). It really, really does make the whole subject very difficult to discuss.

    I'm with you there.

But ... people who are genuinely not aware of the value or significance of anything better/different are never going to see it this way.

There's not much point in taking along to a wine-tasting your friend who has no taste-buds, you know? He can use his eyes to tell the difference between red wine and white wine, and there his judgment and experience stop.

Can you do anything with that article? No. Can you get a quick backlink out of it? Maybe, depending on how strict the directories are being after the Panda update.

But, like Alexa pointed out, there is so much more to article marketing that just getting a quick backlink. A huge part of it is establishing yourself as an expert. That article won't make anyone look like an expert. In fact, it will make them look ridiculous!

But you're always going to see content like that floating around, because there are far too many people who just don't understand the value of good content - no matter how much you try to explain it to them.

I want to add that you should also make sure that you order your articles correctly. Give a writer some information what the purpose of the article is.

We are not mind-readers and so all you can come up is something very generic, like a word definition, but if you tell the writer that you want to promote Amazon products or that it's for Google Adsense that will help a lot.

Let the writer know what the call to action is supposed to be about.

Personally I've gotten great results with a certain member of this forum. It's a bit pricey, but her articles are always perfect for me. $5 articles in my experience are usually crap.
