What is YOUR money making motivation???

Making money online (or anywhere in general) isn't just done to "survive," but done for many more reasons many of us don't even realize?
So the question is, "What is your money making motivation?"

Being only 19, people would think mine is to pay for student loans and such for college, but mine is so not that actually, it's the opposite, I want to make money so I DON'T have to pay for student loans. College is a no go for me here, even my teachers from high school said that school isn't really necessary.

But the total motivation for me is pretty much "financial security". I don't want to be one of the millions living day-to-day on paycheck-to-paycheck struggling with bills. I want to be the person that can support the family with no problem, and can do pretty much anything I would want with no problem at all!

Sure, all of this takes sacrifice, and of course I'm willing to give up everything now to get it all back and more in the end. I just gotta keep focused!

I just thought I would share this to all marketers here on the forum!

But back to the main point of this...
What are the things keeping you motivated to make money on the internet fellow warriors??

I can't wait to hear from all the pros and amateurs!

Thanks!

Ethan

Money is nice to have, but is just a means to a end and not a good motivation at all. For me it is more important that I can help others. Sure, I get paid if I do a good job, but this means I can make it possible to send my kids to and excellent school.

Originally, it was purely to get what you see in my avatar. However, I also told myself that if I could manage to get the money required in 3 months or less, then I could pursue it as a career.

I'm 19 too, and while I'd still like a degree, it's difficult to even get classes. Who knows if the job market will even be open for the degree I want.

Many of us do internet marketing because there is a type of lifestyle we wish to live. Our motivation is that if we do internet marketing, we will be able to accomplish those things we set out to do. My motivation is to eventually move on to invest in real estate.

My money making motivation is to make a lot of money.
Sure, it will be nice to help others provide they pay for the privilege and pay an arm and a leg.
Yeah, having lots of friends is nice but so is having lots of money to show off to my friends.

I really think you are kidding if you say that money doesn't motivate you.

If you have no money, are on the unemployment line, and not sure where you are going to get your next {fill in the blank} payment, there's no way you are going to say that money isn't important.

I look at money as a motivator because it puts me in a creative mood and it pushes me to get some.

One of my goals is to get just under a million dollars in my retirement account so that I can retire!
There are other goals but I won't be able to do much without money.
So, yes, making a million dollars is my money making motivation.

My motivation for making money using internet is to provide a comfortable lifestyle to my family.

I came from a poor family that live from hand to mouth every day.

Having a comfort life for my family and spend time with them is a key motivation.

My main motivation why I enjoy making money online is that it allows me to: -

    1) Share my IM knowledge with others so that they too can be successful

    2) Do the things I love when I want to without requiring me apply for leave like in a 9 to 5 job

    3) Spend quality time with my family

    4) Have total control over my life and also my income

    Cheers!

Hey... Nice to see I am not the only young person here. I am 19 years old too. Currently a college student.

My motivation is that I want to travel. I spend my whole child hood living in an apartment, never go anywhere special because my parents don't make enough money to do so. It would be a tragedy if I spend my adulthood that way as well. That's why I am interested in IM. It will give me the freedom to work with the ability to travel anywhere I want.

Time Freedom is one of my motivation.

The other one is the fact that I need to gather money without having investing much on the business. The fact that you can start Internet marketing only with a domain, hosting and an internet connection rocks....

  • My kids are my main motivation. As a single mother, I was so happy a few years ago when I was able to work from home. I was able to be involved with my kids education as a "room mom." I was able to meet with teachers when needed, go on field trips, pop up and have lunch with them, and attend awards ceremonies. That was the greatest feeling in my life and I work hard everyday to keep it going.

To monetize my actual value to people. I hate that we live in a time when you make more money being a corporate raider (CEO) than bringing new ideas and concepts to humanity.

My ultimate motivation is of course freedom to do what I want, when I want. This includes ultimately achieving the goal of helping the world with it's energy issues it faces. Far cry from Internet Marketing but I know it is the fastest vehicle to get me there.

John, you've hit the nail squarely on the head there. While we may be passionate about internet marketing, many of us also have bigger and more meaningful goals, and IM is simply one of the fastest and most scalable ways of getting us there. It is merely a means to an end for many of us, and a very accessible means at that.

    My motivations are:

    1. To be able to split our time living with our family in the USA and in the Philippines.
    2. To provide inspiration and a good life to my children, both the two 20-something old ones, the 2 year old, and the 7 month old.
    3. To have enough coins in my pocket each day in the Philippines to help hungry children on the street.
    4. To pay cash for the house we will be building in the Philippines.
    5. To make my wife smile and say "I always knew you could do it."
    6. To learn more about myself than I ever thought possible.
    7. To help people achieve their own dreams.
    8. To buy every single book I have ever wanted and have the time to read them.
    9. To be able to get up, give my 7 month old a bottle, right in the middle of typing this post and finishing an article...try that while you're working a 7AM to 6PM job. (Never could find one of those 8 to 5 gigs.)
    10. To satisfy the kid in me who stared incessantly at the ads in the back of Popular Mechanics, Comic Books, and even his mom's Romance magazines, not because I wanted the products, because I wanted to "make money like those guys do".
